Very nice. It helps low-cost decks of any element, it would probably be used with Nova (especially unupped) and might become the new Quantum Pillar for Antagon-like decks. If you have 4 of these in play when you cast a Graboid, not only you can play another one immediately, but you also GAIN quanta. It may be a bit powerful, but it is surely a nice card idea.

*thinks of a mono-time deck that casts Precognition to increase quanta*

This is amazingly good.  I almost say it should have a cost of its own.  Whats the difference between the upgraded and non-upgraded?

Unupped is for you only. Upped is for both sides.

That may be, but neither the card nor the table indicate that.  Also, I'd always play unupped then.  If upgraded effects both people, why would I bother?

Sorry. I phrased that badly. What I meant is that if your opponent plays a card and the upped is out, you get quanta. Not so for the unupped.

Somehow I misread that each of the 3 times I examined the card, and then I misunderstood your post.  Sorry, thanks.

Thanks, I've been debating the cost issue myself for a while.  The main reason I did not want to give it a cost was so this card gives unupped decks the ability to essentially use this card to turn their pillars into towers on turn 1, which always bugs me (since I don't play that much, I have not upgraded a single pillar yet).  For upgraded decks, it wouldn't make much difference if it had a cost of 1, since that would just mean playing a tower before playing Lotus.  Additionally, since most decks will only play 1 card per turn, the net benefit for the unupgraded card is not much more than a pillar's net benefit other than its high early game generation potential.  I appreciate any input though.

For upgraded decks, it wouldn't make much difference if it had a cost of 1, since that would just mean playing a tower before playing Lotus/
Actualy it does. Non-cost cards have higher chances of showing in your starting hand.
I love the card.

Wow, I didn't know non-cost cards have a higher chance of being in the starting hand.  Where is that information?  In that case, though, I think a cost of 0 would be best, since this card's value is best if it's the first card you play.  If it's too strong, the cost could be changed to 1, but I don't think it is (at least the unupgraded one isn't).  The upgraded one might need a cost of 1 though.  I'll add a poll.

If the first starting hand is drawn but lacks any 0 cost cards it is mulligan'd once for no cost.

I think the main issue with this card is what happens if you have multiples of this in play. Think about a Graboidbow with these instead of Quantum Pillars. You play a couple of these and every time you spring out a card you're ready to pay for the next. Three novas and three lotus may power the whole deck.
