I think it'd be better if the upgraded got a stat boosts and both versions only had a 1 :death cost ability.

This triggers death effects, splits into two, and loses status effects. You sure that isn't a little overpowered, at least unupped?

Splitting into two isn't very useful. Deja vu is a much better ability than splitting. You essentially pay death quanta to just activate one death effect, create two weaker creatures, and have them be affected by shields twice.
