This is a re-imagining of http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,10272.0.html , since people didn't like soft permanent control as much as anticipated.

This card would allow for creatures to persist one turn after their death, to do extra attacks and/or use their skills one or two final times.  the creatures would be untargetable base version of the creature while in play haunting, they cannot die while they are dead, and on-death effects are triggered as normal when they are initially killed, but not when their spirit is removed from play after the duration.

in the event that the death effect is triggered, filling the field with skeletons prior to the spirit coming into play, the spirit will laugh at the player for poor creature-field management and leave.

I'd swear there was a card just percolating last week that allowed all creatures to remain for one turn after being killed.  I can't find it at the moment (found Phoenix Feather, but I'm pretty sure it was a different card), but even though this is slightly different, I'm still not convinced this is a needed ability for general use.    It's hard enough to get rid of creatures, allowing them to remain in any portion afterward is kind of unbalanced.

 firmly disagree, its pretty easy to get rid of creatures if you intend to do so.  most, if not all, elements have some form of CC, several actually specialize in it.

as to whether there is another similar card effect- i cannot say that i recall seeing it

True enough, but if you're playing a deck that does more than that, your options become somewhat limited.  Same for if creatures are larger (on the order of growth'd creatures that came out turn 1 or 2, or an Animated Titan.)  If you can find a way to get rid of creatures, they should stay gone, as a general rule.  That being said, if this was a creature that came back from the dead, or lived on, that's a different story.  It's not a field-wide effect.

in relation to large hp creatures, there are methods for dealing with them as well, basilisk blood, freeze, rewind, etc- cc doesnt always have to be death.

and in this case, this card doesnt prevent any card from leaving the field ever, it just essentially delays death, and only death, by a turn or two.

I prefer the permanent control idea.  I think it would be better to work on improving that initial idea of affecting permanents rather then completely re-purposing it.
