this is OP, i can think of alot of decks that would splash this, and drain life and win nearly every time i mean, its a good idea, but its OP because darkness already has  pests, combining the two would just be evil.

anyway my vote is... OP. if you could change the element to say.... death or life or really any element not darkness, gravity or entropy.

Just in case you didn't see, this doesn't stack with Devourers. With this, Devourers don't gain 2 when they absorbed 1 quantum.

"A moment" was equal to five days...

I updated the card. You only gain quanta if your opponent spends quanta. Thus, no quanta gained from Devourer absorption, or Black Hole WTFdrain.
If your opponent uses an Advanced Spell (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,5696.0.html), then you gain equal to whatever s/he lost. For example, if your opponent uses Miracle at 100 , you gain 100 . OP? Maybe; but those Advanced Spells are powerful enough anyways, and your opponent rarely accumulates ridiculous amounts of quanta just for using them all up on a single Advanced Spell.

Anyways, the card might be a little overpowered, but the upkeep does balance it slightly, and if the opponent gets set up before you can play this, then your entire strategy is screwed.

My only problem is this is ridiculous with drain life.

Only if your opponent is really, REALLY quanta-heavy. It doesn't always work, and for a pure Drain Life OTK deck you might as well use Fractal Devourers.

This card might actually inspire good pillarless Darkness decks.

Well, I think it might be slightly OP, as it probably can replace a number of pillars (eg. instead of 10 darkness pillars and 6 devourers you take 4 darkness pillars 6 devourers 3 harvesters and have still have 3 cards left to chose).

If you ever decide to nerf the card, I'd say drain half of the quanta spent rounded up. Yes, it breaks the law of equivalent exchange, but this law is anyway not present in Elements

Look, the entire card is overpowered.  Your opponent doesn't play anything and lets you win, or he plays his deck normally and feeds you quanta, in essence letting you win.

I have a way better idea for the card.  "Whenever your opponent loses life, you gain 1 darkness quanta for every three life your opponent lost"

There.  Still the same basic concept, but now your opponent doesn't have to pick his poison, and he can counter it with healing, draining you of quanta and killing the permanent.

...Actually, thinking about what Gl1tch said - this could probably power up a ridiculous Siphon Life/Fractal Devourer/Soul Harvester deck (unless your opponent has Jade Shield, but a one move wonder that's scarcely used doesn't cut it) by a few card plays alone. Why not cut the amount of quanta spent = quanta gained in half?

Besides, in Full Metal Alchemist, you aren't supposed to mess with human transmutation. Equivalent exchange doesn't apply in that case.
