Isn't this just a gravitational version of Emerald shield/Jade shield for one less quanta?

Yes, except that the spells aren't reflected back on to your opponent, they just miss.  That's why it's one less quantum.

Oh I see. It's still pretty much the same, since nobody would cast a spell on someone with a reflective shield.

a bit ambiguous.  The way its written it sounds like all spells are essentially negated. i.e. can't reverse time, no explosions, steals, nymph tears, adrenaline, black hole, etc.

That would be a very interesting card in itself.

That's a really sweet card; I like it a lot.  It also has the nice touch of being a two-edged sword; sure, your opponent can't firebolt or heal or earthquake or play any other spells, but neither can you.  Of course, in a properly-built deck, this will penalize your opponent far more than yourself.

I think that this should perhaps have some sort of duration on it, like wings, cloak, dimshield, etc, maybe 4 turns?  That's more just my dislike for absolutely unbreakable combos coming out, though.

Re: RRQJ: Isn't that exactly what the card is saying, that you can't RT, explode, steal, adrenaline, black hole, etc?  At least that's how I'm reading it.

All spells played against the person with the shield are negated (or, thematically, bend around the player and zoom off into space behind them).  Your opponent could Rewind one of their own creatures, but not one of yours.

Oh I get it. It means all spells aimed at your side of the field are negated right? If he can't RT your creatures or deflag your permanents. If that's the case, this needs a cost increase because you're almost protecting your entire field form control.

This is too powerful. It's not simply "immaterial", it makes all your field immaterial forever!
Only Cloak does something similar, and some spells can remove it's effect (plague, for example), it's vulnerable to PC and disappear after a few turns and does not shield any damage.
Way too OP, seriously.

Oh that was actually the intention.  I was following the discussion, and it seemed like it only meant spells affecting players.

a bit ambiguous.  The way its written it sounds like all spells are essentially negated. i.e. can't reverse time, no explosions, steals, nymph tears, adrenaline, black hole, etc.

And yes.  This card is probably OP if that's the way it works.  Give it a timer, or make it so you can't play spells (you have the shield, any spell from you gets "bent away"), etc.

Or perhaps anything that targets the Lens will directly 'crack' and break it, but produce no other effect. Right now this just means Steal wouldn't take it for the opponents self (which is still a benefit for you), but it also has the strange property of allowing it to be PC'd by Protect Artifact. Would be a fitting weakness for a field-wide spell nullification, especially as more shield targeting permanents come out.

Your reasoning on the "one less" cost of the Jade Shield otherwise doesn't make sense, as that doesn't protect your field.
