Since it only lasts 2 turns you are paying 8 :life for 1 creature right?

I think this might be worth it if it lasted 3 turns (2 creatures for 11 :life)

Ack, you are right. That's what I meant for it to do >< I forgot about summoning sickness. It should be 3 turns. Fixing now.

I find it's cost and the fact that it is only around for 2 turns a limitation.  It also only feels partly like life: The summoning of creatures is life, but the randomness is not life at all...  I'd expect it to be an aether card before life.

For example, Life has 6 creatures, 1 takes 10 life, the others take 3 or less.  I am paying 5 life, then 3 life for an 87% chance to lose on my investment.  Even if it was permanent, I only have a 12% chance to make out ahead.  I'd rather just put a dragon in and pay 2 extra life quanta then take a chance.  Other elements have a better chance of return, but then you have to run at least duo, or splash mark.

I would either make it cheaper initially, cost less to use, or make it last longer.  Leaving it cost as it does now, but last forever would bring it closer to usefulness, I feel.  Look at the cost of Fire Fly Queen, Fractal or Mindgate.  They all do a similar effect (brining into play creatures) but are both more predictable and do not have a 1 time use clause.

Fate egg is another card to compare it with.  Fate egg is 3 time + 1 to activate for any random creature.  This is 5 life +3 to activate, and all you get is a more selective random.  If you make it 3 life +1 and only last 2 turns, it will be a fate egg-like permanent.  Seems to be the feel you are going for.

Some good options.  I see this as UP as it stands.

Edit: I feel that 3 turns makes it slightly more viable, but you are still paying 5 life + 3 + 3 = 11 quanta for 2  selective fate eggs.

This card is akin to Mindgate. It can be used in mono, but it's meant more duo/trio/etc. And I won't make this a forever lasting permanent because that would make it OP as it will always be cheaper when it comes to nymphs and dragons. Sure the percentages mean you won't get it all the time, but you will get them a decent amount of time. And such a low cost for a dragon is balanced by a higher cost for a lower card. I do think it could use more turns possibly.

As it stands, regardless of how many turns it lasts, this is not a card meant for Mono-Life. In fact, having this card in monolife wouldn't be too good. A better idea is to have a life deck with a different mark for a chance at whatever other creature you could aim for, especially cards with mono abilities(that is, ability costs that match the creatures element)

Fate Egg is a bit different. it has many more ways to be disposed of and a much lower percentage for a specific card.

I forgot about nymphs too... Need to find me some more of those.

Back on topic, I don't think it would be OP to have it be permanent with such a high initial cost and activation cost. Permanents are far from indestructible and bringing forth 1 more creature a turn (like FFQ, pharaoh) is already being done. (Yes, these are creatures... point heard)

I also don't like randomness in life, but that is just my opinion.

Figuring out which element to place it in was rather difficult. it didn't seem to fit many of the elements. Entropy first comes to mind because of the randomness, yet gravity because of how it is more orderly than completely random due to it being restricted to creatures from only one element (depending on your mark).

I kept the turns low because this is a potentially cheaper way to gain creatures, something which I wouldn't enjoy doing. though adding a few more turns might be a good idea.
