I stuck with the idea of Light costing more and having good abilites so thats why these cards are more expensive than some of the others

No the shield stays basically same as the Reflective Shield with an ability.

Scyther, to be clear, this card (and the others you're proposing) are permanents but not actual shields, right?  More like empathic bond  or graveyards.  Just let me know.

The spell reflection is against all spells or just the ones played against the opponent him/herself?  I'm guessing it wouldn't reflect Rain of Fire, for example.  Correct?

That is right these cards are permanents and not Shields although they do have the shield ability as their base statistic. Therefore you could stack a God with a shield and get two bonuses for it.

The spell reflection is only on spells directed against you the player, not your creatures. So if he tried to poison you it would be reflected but if he poisoned one of your creatures then it would die (eventually).

Also to stop Rainbows spamming 2 or 3 different Gods at the same time I would suggest that they are only allowed to have one God/Priest in play at any one time in the same way a Shield or Weapon works. Potentially the God could take the place of whichever slot was free when you played (if both are free then random)
