ART: Google IDEA: Arum NOTES: Distortion's mirrior images aren't real, so its just a false card, and disappears after one turn, like spark/ball lightning. The copies do zero damage and have non-functioning abilities, but to the opponent, they appear to be regular cards. Confusion affects permanents and creatures as where they are (creatures into another empty spot that can be occupied by creatures and vice versa). If a creature/permanent is insta-destroyed(except for deflagration), then confusion does not take effect. For steal and deflagration, permanents move to another permanent-only empty spot. Do these cards affect both sides of the field? If so, then they're pretty much insta-OP.Distortion is super OP, regardless of whether it also affects the opponent or not. You now win all damage races with this card, given sufficient damage on your field. Also, mirrorception makes for exponential growth.Confusion makes for some very strange interactions in terms of ability priority. What if you use Deflag or Pulverizer ability on a permanent? What happens when you Steal a permanent? What happens when you do enough damage to a creature to kill it in one shot? What if you Rewind a creature? Which effect would have priority in activation?Can you place cards in places where they shouldn't go? For example, creatures in permanent/weapon slots, weapons in permanent slots, non-weapon permanents in weapon/creature slots. This would pretty much break the game coding.What about permanents that come in stacks? Pillars/Pends, Shards, Bone Wall. How would they be distributed?

Still doesn't change the fact that Distortion is a Sky Blitz that affects all of your creatures, at only half the cost and without the quanta draining effect.Even if you can't mirror the mirrors (which would be hard to explain right on the card), it's still way overpowered at just 5 :entropyIf Confusion allows cards to switch sides during the turn and it only affects your own cards, then it's underpowered because it's way too situational for its cost

TL;DR version: You're putting in enough mechanics for 4 or 5 different cards into one card, and that makes it difficult to balance.

Distortion IS NOT A SKY BLITZ. It's just an illusion essentially. The creatures don't have their ATK|HP copied over. Mirror can mirror mirrors because mirrors can mirror mirrors.
Confusion only affects your side during your opponents turn( CC-protect)
Stop making this into what it's not.

No need to be rude Arum. If they're just fake images, then this is just a much worse cloak. Also add to the fact that the idea of using decoys has already been done, and you'd be able to see which is real due to the damage icons popping up above each creature when attacking.

"False card" is too vague of a term; something along the lines of "the copies do zero damage and have non-functioning abilities, but to the opponent, they appear to be regular cards" would be clearer. The Notes section is for clearing up any and all ambiguities/interactions that may arise, and being in-depth about it.

As for the art being a placeholder, it's perfectly fine to just leave the picture blank. Sure, it won't be accepted for Crucible submissions, but neither will a card with art of questionable origin.

This could be really fun with a card that hides the nature of cards in play (e.g. something that lets you flip a card in play face down so you're enemy cant see what it is) That would make for a very useful anti-CC / anit-PC combo.

This is also cool because there is a good reason for both the unupped and upped version to be in a deck at the same time (e.g. one makes copies and the other shuffles them around to protect them)
I think the mirror images should last a little longer though.
