Why not have the activated ability 'reset' the target creature's ability (allow the ability to be used again), similar to SoR?

Why not have the activated ability 'reset' the target creature's ability (allow the ability to be used again), similar to SoR?
I like this idea. Depending on the ability reset it can have a variety of defensive (Aether Nymph) or offensive (Wyrm) results.
However the idea would then be fairly similar to Reprisal.

Hm. This has taken an interesting turn as we have people favoring beneficial abilities over new possible status effects.
We didn't have many suggestions for abilities to so we're open to suggestions right now.

Current abilities already suggested: (Note that the any ability suggested is to be given to another creature)
    Mitosis or a similar duplicating ability.

Sorry if I missed something, but granting creatures mitosis or a similiar duplication effect, wouldn't work much differently than the mitosis spell, except you could give mitosis to one creature each turn and the swift-creature itself would be another source of attack power. Aside from these additional benefits, this concept seems pretty redundant to me...

This might get concidered to be OP as soon as i post it, but i am doing it anyway:

How about giving the creature mitosis as an active ability? It will then be able to spawn a duplicate of itself the same turn it was played, while the duplicate also has no summoning sickness and can spawn another one until the user runs out of quanta.
Of course the cost will need to be high and the stats shouldn't be to good, but it could be used as a sudden surprise attack or as a synergy with cards such as empathic bond or fallen druid. (especially since life would fit best for this ability anyway)


Another possible idea. It would have to be balanced carefully but it is possible. I do not think Mitosis would utilize the full potential of Swift but it does utilize Swift in an interesting manner.
Of course, it's just a suggestion, and if you feel your concept might be redundant that's okay. At this point, we're open to any ideas.

I like this. However i don't like percentage based effect.
What about a passive skill that makes the creature return in hand when dead? The name could be something like "tactical escape"!  ;D
