This card is for the Card Designer Challenge: It All Floods Over (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,22850.0.html).

NAME: Chaos Illusionist
ELEMENT: Entropy
COST: 4 :entropy
TYPE: Creature
ATK|HP: 1|1
TEXT: :entropy :entropy : Mirage
Create an illusion on your opponent's field with -X|1.
X = Chaos Illusionist's attack.

ART:
Postponed for a latter date (I'm still very busy).
IDEA:
onnig
NOTES:
The goal of this card is to clog up your opponent's field with creatures that can heal you. These illusions are very frail however since they only have 1 hp and die once they no longer has a master. This card can be used in conjunction with cards that, for example, increase (or decrease such as antimatter) a creature's attack power, cards that rely on death effects or cards that fill your opponent's field with needless creatures. It basically stalls for you with heals while you're waiting for other cards.

For the Card Designer Challenge: It All Floods Over (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,22850.0.html), I came up with this deck:

Code: [Select]
6rq 6rq 6rq 6rq 6rq 6rq 6s5 6s5 6s5 6s5 6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 7h1 7h1 7h2 7h2 7h2 7h2This deck stalls with heals in order to able you in setting up your Steam Machine. The main target for Shard of Readiness should be Steam Machines, though using 1 or 2 on Chaos Illusionists can be helpful at times. Power up your Chaos Illusionists with Chaos Power to heal for more. Inundation is used with Chaos Illusionist's illusions in order to limit the amount of creatures your opponent can have on his field.

Notes:
Finished. All that's left now is balancing it and getting the card art.Feel free to criticize and give suggestions about my card idea.[/list]

The passive makes it easier to deal with this card as there aren't many AoE CC that target your own creatures. Removed from the field includes death. It's initial attack is 0.

    Oh... mah... GAWD!!!

You've got quite the creature. If you buff it, it eventually produces a large amount of creatures that heal you. After that, you can use this in a Schrodinger deck to build up a Bone Wall after using Plague... the possibilities are endless!

My suggestion: Swap the card cost and ability cost. Damage is worth more than healing.

EDIT: woe be the man who has this guy anti-mattered.
Perception is the source of misunderstanding.

Why, yes. I do have a Mindgate necklace. It's how I ninja everyone.

    Awesome idea.

It seems balanced - weak fragile creature with expensive ability and requires combinations of other cards to be effective. If opponent has Feral Bonds or Fallen Druids this card helps them use it against you.

One Question : If you antimatter the Illusionist, the illusions made will damage you ?
My real-life sucks. So i come online to compensate that.

Very interesting card, it focuses on the 7 spaces not flooded and at the same time is optimal by itself in a mono.  Quick question though - does it cost 2 Other or 2  :entropy ? I'm thinking it costs 2  :entropy otherwise it's extremely cheap.

this is a purple nymph that has way cheaper summon cost (9 :entropy vs 2 :entropy), with higher hp (2 vs 1, 5 vs 2), and lower skill cost (3 :entropy vs 4 :entropy)

I think it's under the OP department...

Not really. Illusionist's healing is more gradual and can backfire if an improvement card like Mutation is used.  It might be a good idea to lower the HP to 1| 3 though.

Also, don't forget to post a link in the challenge thread if you already haven't done so.

    *Bumping for update.*

I changed a few things. I inverted the playing cost and the ability cost as suggested, though I'm still not quite sure about it. Also, should illusions die if they were targeted (e.g. using quintessence on it)? Should they die if there are no opposing Chaos Illusionists to "control" them? It would be much easier to deal with them and justify the high hp for the upgraded version.

    Awesome idea.

Thanks, and yes, the new illusions will damage you.

I would be willing to pay around 5-6 :entropy to summon this card.

Increased play cost to 4 :entropy since the new ability cost is a bit low.

    *Bump* (sorry for double post)

    - Added Illusion's information. Has a new added effect now.
    - Costs were adjusted. It takes a bit more to get it in play, but the ability cost was slightly lowered.
