Subtly brilliant. A  cost card free from abuse, and even in a mono fire deck it's more or less balanced. My only gripe is the element. Aside from the name, it has no ties to life. It doesn't cost life quanta or have any connection to life; it should really be classified as a fire card.

EDIT: On second thought...in a mono-fire, this thing pretty much overshadows phoenix and lava golem, albeit it lacks their abilities. How much do you think those abilities are worth? Do *you* find the card balanced as is?

I don't find this card to be interesting though. It's a forced combo par excellence.

To consider balance...

With Nova or Immolation, I feel the chance of it not touching to summon it makes it kind of a sense of balance.

In a strict MonoFire without Immolation and this splashed in, It becomes a 3 for 5|1 or 4 for 7|1, making it comparable to Golem and Phoenix respectably.  However, I feel those two are still usable since they have a means of sustaining themselves.

Should this have it as a passive ability?  So if lobo'd, it drops to 1|1?

Making it passive seems like a good way to balance it; right now it's just too strong compared to Phoenix. Yes, I know Phoenix is practically immortal, but still.
