ART: Hawanja http://freakmutantmonster.blogspot.com/2009/10/patchwork-mutant.html http://freakmutantmonster.blogspot.com/2010/05/xzephanjklix-unspoken.html IDEA: moomoose NOTES: Entropy's version of Chimera and Shard of Integrity.  But things never turn out the same way twice for Entropy, just lopping off mostly random pieces of the creatures and seeing what sticks.  Creatures generate 0-2 atk|hp each for the basic and 1-3 each for the upgraded, this should make it firmly less powerful than SoI and give it a different use entirely from Chimera.  The upgraded card also comes with a mutant ability, with the cost being associated with the element which provided the most cards to the Patchwork Mutant. It can serve as a decent atk ratio creature, albeit an unreliable one, for . SERIES:

So any creature gives an average of 2 atk and hp? Hmmm.... I feel this might be slightly UP then, since you're paying 6 and plenty of cards in your hand for a pretty mediocre creature (only around 2 atk and hp for each creature used?) On the other hand, I do see some good combos, such as with SoSe and being a counter to ghostmare.

i dont disagree, but with the polls set up to only show the basic, it kinda makes sense to have the cooler name show up there.

furb- for the upgraded card and 5 various creatures you can get a 6|6 creature or a 18|18 creature, but averaging around a 12|12 creature, with a random ability, for 6 and 6 creature cards (total), which isnt too shabby and doesnt outshine SoI, which is more restrictive in its card selection for creature generation.

Unupped you pay 6 + 1 card + X creature cards for an average of a creature with X|X stats.
A 6|6 is worth 6 + 1 card not 6 + 1 card + 6 creature cards.
The unupped deserves a buff. Probably both in the form of a cost decrease and in the form of a stat increase.

I really like it. I like the mutant ability, i like how creatures contribute in forming the Amalgamation | Patchwork mutant.
I think that it's a little expensive, though.

On average, i think players will use this with 3/4 creatures.
Paying 6 for a 4|4 (unupped) or a 8|8 upped seems ok, but i think, considering that you are losing 4 cards + this one, that the cost should be lowered a bit.
I think 5 or 4 should be fine.

Question: the ability can be of any element, like mutants'?

as for the power of the card, if anything id rather increase the power than decrease the cost, i dont want the cost to seem low relative to SoI.  I think the simplest method would be increasing the stats by a flat +2|+2, rather than altering the ranges in the formula.

5 ~= 2

I think reducing the quanta cost to be merely twice the quanta cost of SoI would not make anyone think the cost was low.

I'd like a lower cost rather than an increased stat mainly because it would be more usable against Nightmare.
