As the "web" skill uses :air, i thought maybe it's a good idea to make this :air spell.
This affects your creatures too, for more damage and more strategy against Wings user. And also makes good combo with Wings, though maybe too OP.

Against several decks, this could be devastating (RoL/Hope, Fractix), though against others, probably not that much.

Different enough from Thunderstorm in:
It deal damage to the player, not the creature
The damage could be high, could be low

The theme is basically a caterpillar which makes armor out of leaves.
The ability is comparable to Growth (+2 | +2, once per turn) and Photosynthesis (generate :life :life, unlimited times per turn)
I think it's balanced enough, in that it doesn't increase attack, only HP. Useful as a trio Earth/Gravity/Life. Acceleration, Gravity Pull, maybe Ragepot.

I really like this card. As you said, Earth/Gravity/Life could be a great combo with this and gravity pull. I'm thinking something like:

Earth Mark
3 Leaf Weavers
12 Emerald Towers
8 Gravity Towers
4 Gravity Pull
3 Elite Charger

The "multiple times per turn" mechanic is a nice idea, too. :)

I will not use this with Acceleration, since Acceleration will lobotomize it, but the idea is nice and it seems balanced.
I think ragepot is best in this case!

Wow, now that it think... use rustler | leaf dragon to convert :light to :life :life, then use them on leaf crawler to get +0|+4.
:light = +0|+4
You're right, it's nice catapult fodder. Still balanced to me!

I like it, but i'm not sure of how powerful is this combined with Wings.

Web Trap + Wings = 2 cards, X damage + 5 turns of total block.
Phase Shield = 1 card, 0 damage, 3 turns of total block.

I have to think more about it. I really like the concept, though.
