NOTES:
Upset with the greed of others and the destruction of the planet, the goddess Gaia first sought to warn others of her wrath.  After her warnings were ignored, Gaia was determined to teach her ultimate lesson.

A powerful :life card with quanta denial and healing to instill fear.  Those that take :life lightly may find themselves doomed. Gaia's wrath is capable of absorbing 10 non-life quanta from the oppponent.  Gaia's revenge absorbs all non-life quanta from both players with no upper limit.  Both versions are countered by sanctuary.  Gaia's revenge can be devastating against quanta-build decks like firestall, earth/light stalls, fractal, and rainbow decks.  Opponents playing low-quanta decks (such as duo splash) or strategies that quickly use available quanta will be less affected by these spells.

Gaia's Pride represent! :P /Brawl-callback (pretty much the card title and familiar Brawl team name I was on is why I opened and read this card sub! :) )

1. What happens if opponent does not have 8 non-life quanta?


2. The upgraded wording could probably be simplified and clarified, something like: Absorb all non-life quanta from both players. Gain 5 HP.


3. Hmm, Heal is +20 HP for 3 :life un-upgraded and this is +3 HP for 5 :life -- I think the un-upgraded needs some balancing effort.

It will take whatever quanta is available up to 8. If no non-life quanta, then the heal effect would still work.

You are absolutely right.

I agree the card could use tweaking to make un-upgraded either more powerful or lower cost. I didn't want heal to be so powerful as to disincentivize a player from carrying healing cards.  Black hole sets a precedent for gaining some HP back, so I thought that effect here in moderation was reasonable, too. If the heal effect was linked to quanta drained, that may be reasonable for un-upgraded.  For the upgraded version, the card has beyond the healing power of miracle so it would need fixed healing (ex: 10/15HP).  Initially, I didn't like the cards having different mechanism for gaining HP.  So if one pulls HP like black hole, and the other has fixed healing, it doesn't work thematically.
