New Foil card(s)?

Zanz could make so much money, and the impact on the games balance would be exactly zero.

I hope there won't be too many foil cards, if there are.

One BIG reason I like this game is that all the cards are actually obtainable.

You have a pretty good goal, with an end in sight, is what keeps me playing.

I despised lots of other "collectible" games, (like Pokemon) simply because you can't "catch them all". (You can buy them all though.)

Foil cards are exactly the same as their obtainable versions, mechanically (ignoring spins)

Serprex is correct.  The foil Chimera (the only foil we have right now) is functionally identical, it merely has different artwork.  (there's also a bug that you can have six chimeras and six foil chimeras in your deck, since they count as different cards for some reason, but fortunately in this case, nobody would ever want to use more than six chimeras in a deck)

Hm... maybe that's the reason Chimera is the only Foil card at the moment...  Trying to find a way so that both the original and foil art don't exceed each other.

That bug will need to be patched before more foil cards could possibly be a thing.

Another issue that I can see is that Vrt's art is now being used as non-foils to replace old spore art. His arts already in game. It would be more desirable for him to keep doing that, improving the aesthetic appeal of the base game, than it would be to have shitty cards with classy secret versions. Possible solution: Hire some so-so artist to do the base cards, and have our lord and savior Vrt do all the foils?

Aaaand another thing, to the best of my knowledge, it's not really advertised anywhere that donations will yield a reward. That's something you only know if you've donated more than $5 OR are a part of this forum.

1. Patch bug
2. Advertise rewards moar
3. Get another artist
4. Donate to Zanz/Vrt to pay ze bills / encourage such updates

I disagree with the ideas of having worse art for the game just to get better foil cards. Both should be good, and foil cards will call atention because they are different.

These two sentiments are in agreement (foils would be great but don't hurt the main game for it).  Also, I agree too.  Still.. more new foils would be great.

What other cards wouldn't be broken from Foils? Miracle? Flooding? Hee hee heee, that may be the kicker Flooding needs. Decks built for the sole purpose of showing off one's foil card.

Foil Flooding? Inundation? Anyone? Chip in! I think it's a great idea.
