Cryotube, how much time did approximately took to draw this piece?
And also, do you have some suggestion for beginners that want to learn?
I mean, tutorials and other things... i've got Photoshop and a tablet, but i'm not an illustrator, i made other kinds of drawings, mostly vectors and combinations of existing photos, textures and effects. But i would really like to learn something on digital illustration.

The piece took 2 hours - you can count the clock flying in the background. Beginners that want to learn digital painting should definitely have some foundation and understanding of artistic skill - I'm pretty much self-taught while looking at tutorials people had online.

By far the most useful tutorials I had available to me was Feng Zhu's online channel video series he started about a year ago - my skill has grown by leaps and bounds since practicing with Feng's tutorials in mind.

*Edit: watch his videos in order, they make more sense that way

Other than that, just a ridiculous amount of practice (I've been doing this regularly for 4 years)

Thank you very much for your response. I understand that it's all studying and practicing.
Even if i have little time, i'd like to build this skill, just because i like to draw and sometimes i'm happy with my results, but i still feel i lack a professional touch.
I've did some cards art for people and for me, but as i said before i'm not an illustrator, since i mostly use vectors and effects and modify existing things.
I'll bookmark your link and watch the videos!

Simple astounding. It captures the pure essence that is Gravity. I really do love it, and by the looks of your other videos, you've found yourself a new subscriber. The art, i feel, fits in great with Elements, and though it is a turtle, i woudl love it if this art replaced the current Armagio art. I feel it would fit much better. Or change the name of Graviton Mercenary to Graviton Turtle and use this art. Regardless, i really want to see this art in game. Kepe this thread up and alive to get Zanz's attention.

Brilliant.  Just brilliant.  I wish I had your commitment to an art project because there's no way that I would've gone those two hours or so without fussing over details.  Now I want to draw more potential card art...

Absolutely fantastic. :D

The only minor thing in terms of criticism is that the white birds are a slight distraction to the picture (yes, I know they're used for 'perspective' of how big this thing is, but I believe that we don't always need little critters or birds to show how big the monster is [many Gravity creatures excluding Chimera represent their 'size' with health]). That being said, I love the fact that you did a video on this, although I wonder if you'd be willing to provide additional commentary on your thoughts while drawing the creature and whatnot.

Great work, and if anything, you remind me of a formerly-active veteran artist that drew card art for the game...
Pretty sure he approves of this kind of stuff.
So long and thanks for all the fish!
