Shard-targeting would be nice, but three at once? And how does it fit thematically?

Simple - we fill in a little background story.

Shards are magical constructs that barely levitate above the ground (by Elemental standards) and require themselves to be "balanced" in order for their quantum energy to function properly. Large amounts of movement (such as a tremor or strong wind (think an version of Steal) ) can disrupt such magical energies.

Being able to target stackable cards would be great.

Note that I am saying that, but I only know of shards/pillars/bone wall stacking. If ALL cards stack, then this idea=bad.

Yes, but that Bonewall can be rebuilt by the next turn, so there would probably be a cycle of destroy wall - rebuild, similar to using Eternity on opponent's creature, they play that creature again, reverse time again, etc.

I think that's the point we're going for..... the other weapons can be game changers. Besides, Adrenaline and Fractal can take Bone Walls down pretty quick.

Suggestion: Leave Trident alone, make Poseidon able to target any stack.

Voted for targeting shard stacks. The only problem with this is that if it can destroy three shards for 2 , you could technically destroy ALL of their shards (assuming, of course, that they have all of them) for only 8 , which seems a little OP. Imo, though I don't know how in the world this could be worded, it could have its current ability, and the ability to destroy 1 (2 if upped) shards. Idk, just throwing it out there

I think this is a great idea to revive the usage of trident.  Trident has little to no value as of now, and adding the ability to target shards is perfect for it imo.  Like Iman said, I think being able to destroy 3 shards at once might be a little much, so maybe reduce that to 2 shards at once.  Otherwise, very good idea and I am all for it.

+1 for targeting shards. Also, its text reads "deal 4 damages"... it's the only weapon that says that.

I think the Vampire dagger also has the typo..............
And the type of quanta cost for the ability of the trident should cost  quanta.

Based on some of the replies, I added another option that allows for targeting all stackable permanents.
