Spoiler for Leagues:
- With an amazing score of 1609, Puff has won his first Battle League! Here's what he had to say about his BL journey
Spoiler for Hidden: When I first heard about BL, I was very interested in participating. So I registered on the forums, jumped right into chat and asked about when it starts. It turns out that the next season is starting in a few days, which was perfect. Barely knowing anything about the PVP meta, I started digging around the forums for info: rush dom stall break, commonly used BL decks, previous top tier decks, and the counters for them.
And then BL started. I was surprised myself that I was able to get a good start, but I guess that meant that spamming DBH er, researching all those decks paid off. So I kept on collecting more decks for use. And I kept noting what the other participants do: what decks they use, when they use them, and how they respond to what deck I bring. It was exciting, all those panicking every time I see a new deck that I've never encountered before, digging around for info, and building or selecting counters for them. My decklist grew to like 25+ decks for BL. Interestingly, the top tier decks: grabbow, the deck, monofire, firestall, disquake - they all weren't in my top 5 used decks in BL. Okay, maybe Firestall. But still, I felt that if I also spammed those decks, I'd just end up in RPS / mirror matches and only win 50% of the time. And that's not enough, right?
In the end, I was very satisfied at my performance. And I was able to pick up a lot of experience from the league, too. Hopefully I'll be able to participate in more events, and I would gladly do BL again if I still have the time. Enjoy your mark/nymph and hope to see you in coming seasons!
- With a score of 1554, worldwideweb3 has won his first championship league! Here's what he had to say on his league journey in CL and BL
Spoiler for Hidden: This was an amazing season for me, #1 BL and CL. This season, i tried a couple different decks in BL like, water/light stall and aether/light stall. Both worked better than expected! In CL, even though there weren't a lot of players, the matches i had were interesting. Comparing it to BL, the meta is pretty much the same, a lot of rainbows and a couple rol/hopes and dbh's from time to time. I started CL not so well, just like BL, but then i managed to get a few wins against noize and that pretty much changed it all. I will soon post decks used, if anyone's interesting, but expect to find the normal decks within them. Hopefully, there will be more people joining CL next season. Grats on another impressive pvp performance!
- The second season of 2015 will be starting within the month of April! Stay tuned for any rules changes and make sure you join!
Spoiler for Forum Games:
- Elements Mafia 47, hosted by skyironsword, is underway. It seems eljoemo's caught red-handed, but he got away with it! Sneaky guy.
- Elements Tag! by eaglgenes101, is underway. Kuroaitou is it! Linkcat still retains the lead, although russianspy1234 is catching up. Meanwhile, qwerter and flyingcat are at the brink of death!
- Due to lack of forum games, we have an idea of our own!
Spoiler for Hidden: FORUM PICTIONARY!Well, the goal of the game is simply to guess the picture(like every other pictionary). But here's the catch, instead of drawing the picture(a lot of hassle, you know), the picture will take on myriad shapes, either: - Blurry
- Panelized
- Random crops all over the place
It can go on varying degrees, perhaps completely deforming the picture itself (but we'll sure to leave a tint of it's... originality). With the help of photo-editing software, we can easily reform the picture back to itself, thus the game can have modifiable intervals! Plus, anyone can join!. Who knows? Maybe it only takes one guess to reach the dazzling forum games hall of fame! So, anyone up for a forum game? Here's a picture, it will be quite easy(because too lazy to tinker with the image): Reminds me of Silent Hill, if you ask me. Send your answers through PM to me, Christopaz!

Spoiler for Tea Time with Giants (interview): Tea Time with Giants:Lava Golem After years of hearing the stories of veteran heroes of the Elementalists, our reporter, Jonathancrazyj decides that for the sake of balance and objectivity, we should hear from the other side of the battlefield. JCJ: First off, thanks so much for meeting with me. Do you have a name, Mr. Golem, sir?Golem: Golem.JCJ: Right. Can I offer you a beverage? An adrenaline perhaps? A cheeky Rage Potion?Golem: Gemfinder. Upgraded.JCJ: Lovely. Now, my first question is an easy one. Who do you prefer playing for - Hermes, the False God, or the Elementalists?Golem: Don't care. Just like quanta and smashing. Good Gemfinder this - pass me that Rage Potion.JCJ: Unbiased, I think a lot of our audience will like that about you, shows an almost philosophical wish to unify the world - not taking sides. Excellent. Now, let's get personal here - when you first enter a battlefield, do you feel vulnerable?Golem: I always get to smash at least once. Got any Quintessence?JCJ: Inspiring! It shows such courage to know that you feel no trepidation in approaching your work with such initial weakness, so long as you can - as you so eloquently put it - "smush"Golem: SMASH. Not smush, don't missquote me. And that Quint got stuck in my teeth - give me a toothpick - that Shard of Wisdom will do.JCJ: Sorry. Right... now one last question. And it's really important to our readers we get an honest and heartfelt answer. What are your plans for the future? Do you think the meta is likely to change at all, and if so, will your impact be quite the same as it was in the hay day of Napalm Grenade, and before that, CCYB?Golem: FOOLISH MORTAL! LEAVE NOW! I WILL FOREVER MASTER THE META! I AM INVULNERABLE, EVER GROWING AND SPELL DAMAGE WIELDING! TIME TO SMASH!!!JCJ: I feel it is time to end this interview. Pass the reflective shield please Christopaz.

Try this! A fun and very enjoyable deck, made by MoL's DB in a brawl task where decks had to be made around a horror movie. Play the quanta, play skeleton and use eternity's ability on them. Use fractal to get more skeletons, to create different creatures. Keep skeleton in hand if cc is expected, and play it with fractal. Death and Time pends: For skeletons and eternity respectively. The no. of pends is absolutely spot on, as i found in my testing. Fractal: More skeletons -> More different creatures! Elite Skeleton: The only creature. When used with eternity, it can be really good. Eternity: Using its ability on skellies to create powerful (hopefully) creatures. Also useful for draw-locking opponent. Spoiler for Card Idea of the Month: Card Idea of the Month: Magitek Factory by Ragnarok Magitek Factory | Magitek Factory Have you ever felt that Gravity was lacking a nice buff card other than the classic Momentum? After all, what if you want to buff Sapphire Chargers? A bit redundant, right? Now, meet the Magitek Factory. This permanent is like a reusable Chaos Power that instead has set stats that it buffs. Just like the sides of a die, it gives +1|+6, +2|+5, +3|+4, etc. on each use, with the final use being +6|+1. After that, it will be destroyed. This synergizes well with a multitude of cards. First of all, this can work very well in a mono Gravity deck. Use the first few buffs on creatures like Armagio to mainly buff HP for Gravity Pull, and then use the last few for offensive creatures like Sapphire Chargers to boost the amount of damage you can do. Otyughs would work wonderfully here, because of its ability Devour. Another synergy is with Gravity Shield. Continually using the buffs on enemy creatures will make them eventually unable to reach you no matter how high their attack is. In duos, this has an even bigger repertoire of synergies. One would be with Deathstalkers and Dune Scorpions. Because you can continually use the Magitek Factory for six different creatures, you can just fit a few of these into a Death or Time deck and not have to waste space for six copies of a buff card (like Momentum). It also works well with Sparks and Phase Salvagers because it allows you to have a cheap, quick attacker relatively early in the game. This card has many more synergies, we'll just have to wait for it to get in the game and see!
Spoiler for Puzzle of the Month: Puzzle of the Month SLITHER LINK also known as Loop the Loop [and various other names] Spoiler for General Directions: The number in the square indicate the number of lines it is surrounded. So for example, a 4 will indicate that it is completely surrounded by lines, while 1 will only have 1 line. 0 means it has NO lines, take note of that. Blank spaces have varying number of lines. The goal is to make a loop, only one loop is to be created. That should how a solved puzzle will look like (colors not necessary). Spoiler for Tips on Solving: There are MANY patterns that could help you out in solving slither link puzzles. When you see these kinds of patterns, DRAW THEM LINES QUICK! If two 3s are adjacent diagonally, the edges which do not run into the common point must be filled in.Similarly, if two 3s are in the same diagonal, but separated by any number of 2s (and only 2s) the outside edges of the 3s must be filled in, just as if they were adjacent diagonally. If a 1 is in a corner, the actual corner's lines may be X'd out, because a line that entered said corner could not leave it except by passing by the 1 again. This also applies if two lines leading into the 1-box at the same corner are X'd out.If a 3 is in a corner, the two outside edges of that box can be filled in because otherwise the rule above would have to be broken. If a 2 is in a corner, two lines must be going away from the 2 at the border. If a 3 is adjacent to a 0, either horizontally or vertically, then all edges of that 3 can be filled except for the one touching the 0. In addition, the two lines perpendicular to the adjacent boxes can be filled. If two 3s are adjacent to each other horizontally or vertically, their common edge must be filled in, because the only other option is a closed oval that is impossible to connect to any other line. Second, the two outer lines of the group (parallel to the common line) must be filled in. Thirdly, the line through the 3s will always wrap around in an "S" shape. Therefore, the line between the 3s cannot continue in a straight line, and those sides which are in a straight line from the middle line can be X'd out.If a 3 is adjacent to a 0 diagonally, both sides of the 3 that meet the 0's corner must be filled. This is because if either of those sides were open, the line ending in the corner of the 0 would have no place to go. This is similar to the 3-in-a-corner rule.If a line reaches a corner of a 3, there must be lines on both sides of the 3 that said corner is not adjacent to, because if the 3's sole empty space were not adjacent to it, the corner would have three lines connected to it. Furthermore, the segment leading away from the 3 at the corner reached by the line must be empty; if it were filled, neither of the remaining 2 undetermined sides of the 3 would be able to contain a line. There are many more patterns, but the first five are enough to give you a head start.
