Mafia 47: Objection!

Spoiler for General Rules:

1.   Don't post during night.

2.   Do not reveal information if you have been killed, removed, or withdrawn from mafia.

3.   All actions should be sent during Nighttime unless otherwise specified.

4.   No player may do the 'No-Vote'/AFK for two consecutive days without a viable reason. Players without viable reasons will be modkilled.

6.   Do not quote PMs. No one is permitted to declare themselves to be mafia.

7.   You are allowed to talk in chat about mafia.

8.   You are not allowed to edit or remove your post. To edit your post, post again with the correct fixes. Any posts breaking this rule will result in the post being deleted on sight.

9.   Ties result in a random lynch between the tied players.

Spoiler for How to Play:

Mafia is generally played between two teams: Civilians and Mafia. The civilians are the main group, and they enjoy the minor advantage of being a majority. Every day, the civilians post in the thread to discuss who is likely to be mafia, and place a vote on who they think is being mafia-like or anti-civilian. You may excuse yourself from voting, but not for two days in a row. One thing to note is that your Voting Total signifies the total of votes placed on you, and Voting Power stands for how many votes you actually place on someone when you vote on them (everyone has a standard Voting Power of 1). At the end of the day the host tallies up all the votes and considers all skills affecting the voting; the person with the most votes on them is killed (termed as lynching), and their role (and therefore, their team) is revealed. Then Night falls, and NO ONE posts in the thread.

That’s when the mafia come in. The Mafia are a minority of players who know each other’s identity. Their job is to eliminate all the other players using deception and nightkills. They interact with the town during the day, trying to mislead them away from lynching any mafia members. And when night falls, Mafia discusses in secret and chooses a person to kill (termed as nightkill). Also during the night the civilians use their skills. Some of the noteworthy skills include the cops, who investigate other players to find their allegiance, and the doctor who can protect a specific player from any nightkills for that night.

Does the game ever end, you ask? The Civilians win when whenever they manage to lynch all the Mafia members. And Mafia wins when their combined Voting Power is enough to control the vote entirely, i.e. if all Mafia members vote on the same Civilian and all Civilians vote on a Mafia member, the civilian will be lynched. (In other words, when the amount of Mafia members is equivalent or greater than the amount of Civilians at the beginning of the day.)

Did they hire Gumshoe as prison guard or something? People guilty of murder have escaped and are acting like regular citizens. Pheonix Wright, along with his various friends, acquaintances, rivals, relatives, and potted plants, will convict them or die. All they have to do is use the correct objection.

Civilian Roles

Phoenix Wright Lock Breaker (EoR) Reveal the secrets in the target’s heart, allowing you to obtain more information. Their skill type (Passive, ER, EoR, or #U) is revealed.

Apollo Justice Perception (Passive) Some tense up when they lie, revealing the section of testimony that holds a false statement. With enough focus, this can be seen. Refraining from voting will reduce all mafia members’ Voting Power by 1.

Trucy Wright Bloody Ace (1U) Using forged evidence, trick target mafia player into revealing their crime. They will be the target of the next day’s lynch, overriding all voting totals. This ability is wasted on civilians.

Athena Cykes Mood Matrix (ER) [Day Skill] Analyze the emotions of the target. Their Voting Power is revealed.

Godot Black Coffee (ER) Target receives a cup of coffee without sugar. This coffee is so energizing that they will be able to evade a murderer.

Maya Fey Kurain Channeling (EoR) Target a dead player with an ER ability; use their ability on a second target. This ability only works on abilities that target and will fail to activate if the first target does not have an ER ability or an ability that targets. Skills that activate during the day will be automatically delayed until the day phase and then automatically used on the target specified.

Mia Fey Undying Faith (ER) With careful deduction, logic and faith in your client, target player other than yourself is cleared of suspicion. Their Voting Total for the next day is lowered by 2.

Miles Edgeworth Logic Chess (2U) Seek the truth by reaching logical conclusions. The roles that were activated on the current night will be revealed to you in order.

The Judge Verdict (2U) If target player other than yourself would be lynched the next day, no one is lynched instead.

Klavier Gavin Air Guitar (ER) You have no desire to deny people, and would rather play invisible instruments to demonstrate their stupidity. Target player’s ability will fail to activate for the night, and will not take up a use. Passives still function normally.

Ema Skye Forensics (ER) Using various scientific tools, any that have visited a particular area can be detected. Target a player; the list of players that target them on the current night will be revealed to you, in order. What they were targeted with is not revealed.

Dick Gumshoe Investigate (ER) With metal detectors, a magnifying glass, and the help of other people, you can compensate for your incompetence. Target a player; the list of abilities that target them on the current night will be revealed to you, in order. Which players targeted them is not revealed.

Iris Misdirection (ER) By removing important clues and information, it is possible to make a scene difficult to investigate. Abilities used on the target player will fail for the current night, but still consume a use.

Simon Blackquill Executioner’s Record (Passive) Voting Totals are revealed to you at the end of each day.

Franziska von Karma Whiplash (Passive) Your Voting Power is 2 when voting on a mafia.

Mafia Roles

Dahlia Hawthorne Poisoned Drink (2U) The player targeted by Black Coffee will be killed instead of protected.

Luke Atmey Blackmailer (Passive) The player you voted on last round automatically has their vote relocated to the player you vote on this round.

Ted Tonate Bomber (1U) [Day or Night Skill] Kill target player at the end of the current phase.

Kristoph Gavin Spite (ER) Target’s Voting Total is increased by 2 on the next day.

Daryan Crescend Incriminate (EoR) If you would be lynched the next day, the person with the second highest voting total is lynched in your place. If you are included in a tie, the tie will be resolved as if you were not in it.
