Dry Bones|Dry Bones

element: death

ability:

-scavenge as a passive maybe? while having another as an active

-1 life, when killed, turns into a pile of bones. these bones turn into the Dry Bones creature again with +1 attack. with scavenge as well.

This was my first thought when I read the task.

Passive Ability: HP of Dry Bone grows +3|+4 when a creature dies. (similar to Bonewall maybe)

Should working with catapult.

Active Ability: throw bone (gravity or air cost maybe): get a 75% chance to crit. 4|7 and 6|8.

Cost: 5 death.


Boo|King Boo

ability:

-i remember doing something with a spirit thing a while ago. it has a 30% chance of attacking a random enemy creature each turn. maybe could work here? what about it attacks so long as the opponent's "equivalent" creature slot is un-occupied (i.e. - Mario is not lookinig in Boo's direction)? could work, gives synergy in death with trying to give death effects to the enemy spot.

Not bad, though I'm kinda missing the creatures: they do make up a big part of EtG after all.

- Perhaps a vampire (I like that card art) in place of the quanta pool portion??

Vampire could work, or one of the dragons, or crusader. An eclipsed vampire would combine nicely with the 6 healing HP bar though :)

Oh, and that play now button is a neat touch :) I read online a few places about "good banner ad design" before starting so as to not totally bork-fail-on-my-face... :-P

I was going for the split you had detailed somewhere below, and it would be mentioned in the notes

Also, the connection is thus: Heal target creature if you have a lawful mark. Damage target creature if you have a chaotic mark.

So I combined the two statements with 'or' heal for how much?  damage for how much? TBD XD  (only affecting HP?)

  ~ Reasonings (add'l comments welcome and desired!):

    ^ It is other, thereby Nova-summonable... This means many buffs are easily applied (Momo, CP, Bless, etc) in upgraded so squishy can be easily "fixed" if the deck designer so wishes.

    ^ Oty is 3 HP / 5 HP which means ANY HP buff makes Mage un-devourable.

    ^ Keeping the ATK low means it forces their deck-inclusion to be more ability-desiring on the deckbuilders part rather than a beatstick.

* I _think_ slight buffs are in order - unupped -1 cost, upgraded +1 attack (with ability 4 ATK unup = 6 if crit hit; 5 ATK upped = 8 if crit hit... quite nice). Also, 6 and 5 cost are neither abuse-able via Fractal (RoL/Hope doesn't really have room to squeeze air generation in, right?  hopefully not)

Dash sounds a bit too, dunno, childish? Maybe 'Charge' instead?

Still feels week though. Make sure you're looking at the new versions I just put up Thats better, but still feels weak (and my above comment about the name still applies. I would either remove the ability cost completely (make it a free active, or a passive like sapphire's momentum), or remove the 50% change. The change alone is quite a good reason for me to never use it: it's frustrating to activate an ability like that and then have it do nothing. I see. Removing the %-chance means you really should just change the stats and give it momentum... only difference being buffs would worth 1.5*stated-value-of-buff if you cast it on Paladin.  Changing the ability to no-cost and named "Charge" is possibly good, though

NOTE: when Crusader was about to be implemented, some people made a bit of a fuss about a human character as an ingame card, since humanoids are playing the matches, not IN the matches. You might want to keep this in mind when flavoring the card ideas. Crusader itself was upgraded to a superhuman kind of thing to reduce the trouble.

How about some kind of Speed Dash? (Could be Air [ability]) -':air Dash: Paladin has 50% chance to deal +50% damage and avoid shields'... a sort of partial SoFr on a stick??Works for me sounds goo


Ranger -

Dualwieding? (Maybe adrenaline innate to casting, like sapphire charger)

Archery? (Maybe Snipe ability and Ranged)- I think Drake did a card like that

I think we should really stick away from Snipe or other long range CC. Remember, a ranger can also be a tracker - I think we should go with this theme of it.

Tracking - target opponent creature gets -1|-1 for each successful Ranger attack. Lasts 1 turn. -?

":element Track: target a creature. If Ranger successfully attacks this turn, deal 2 damage to target."


So, this ^ + adrenaline = broken? depends on where we set Ranger ATK I guess (or change to 1 damage per?)I'd say change it to once per turn (per ranger) how about that wording? 0.o Seems fine.

Now, what element for Ranger and what element (if any) for cost of Tracking?Since the ability hinges on the attack value, the ability cost can be low (One is fine with me)


As for element, I'm not quite sure. I guess one that has a buff would be good, although I kind of want to put it in life in some way or another. Life has Adrenaline buff...I was thinking stat buff.

earth: EQ? BB? i was trying to stay away from alchemy cards(EQ wouldn't really work with the current idea we're working on, and BB allows for synergy) -EA? EA could also work.

gravity: GP? Acceleration?Which do you feel there's more opportunity for? acceleration

life: heal? 25% chance for Mitosis? (Not sure about balance with mitosis. More feedback needed)25% helps with balance, but would you use that ability? -Growth? 0.o (i.e. +2|+2)

I meant, is 25% mitosis an ability worth using? As for growth, I'm not entirely sure either.

fire: fire bolt based on ability-user's Fire quanta

light: Blessing holy light Blessing? Good synergy with Pegasus (in-element, wyrm/antimatter, etc. out-of-element)

water: Freeze ice bolt Freeze? If we're going to have two other bolts, then freeze is a good counterbalance to that.

time: Deja-Vu RT - RT is quite powerful on a stick... how about Precog?

The thing about sticks here is that you don't know what they'll have. Oh. I see... eternity + photon is much simpler with this.

Nevermind the slashthrough, Deja-vu is cheap enough. Yeah, some change is warranted. Precog could work. 50/50 Precog or Deja!? Either could work, but I don't know if we need the 50/50. (The 50/50 could work too, though) It's just that Precog is already on the Golden lady. Golden lady?Oh. Nymph. Duh. In that case, yeah, let's go for Deja-Vu



Hmm, that's is quite a neat idea, and it fits the versatility quite well. Though, making it fixed to mark AND making the mage lose 2 attack sounds too restricted. I would suggest allowing it to target any target on (your side of) the field, and taking the spell matching said cards mark (any random one in the case of an other card, though I would rule targetting the mark, if possible, works as if the mark is in element, instead of other). what about losing 1 attack? that would make it more balanced


All this sounds what (OldTrees) termed a 'kael card' - which means overcomplicated (which is somethin drake accused me of often in the past :( )

One thing per mark is a bunch to keep track of (also don't forget mark of chroma, which seems to be becoming a thing with 1.4) --How about just picking four of our "favorite" suggestions above?


However, if you two still want to do a 'different effect per element' I would change it to something more original than the current mark. One possible idea for that is for whatever creature's element surrounds the mage.


So - you make the spell be the element of the target - so if you target a Charger (any gravity creature) with mage, then GP happens. If you target a GotP (any time creature) with mage, it gets rewound. Drain Life on Voodoo, etc. The way this is better is, that you have in-element synergy and not just offensive power/CC.  So far, initial reaction is I LIKE IT :D


We should list some more of the good synergies for this


Cleric - Life/Light

Something about pacifism? and healing others? maybe: heal self for 5 life each turn this has 0 attack

How about heals adjacent damaged creature for up to X (3 or 4?) HP at end of turn.

I'll comment on this later - remember, clerics can be dark/evil too.

From Wiki on Cleric D&D class "With divinely-granted abilities over life or death, they are also able to repel or control undead creatures. Whether the cleric repels or controls undead is dependent on its alignment." -This seems an opportunity to give it options in the text based on owner's mark... we would have to group all Mark choices into the alignments, maybe simplified to Lawful, Neutral, and Chaotic (Good, Neutral, and Evil for Elements?) LIGHT-LIFE-AIR-WATER::EARTH-AETHER-GRAVITY-TIME::DEATH-DARKNESS-ENTROPY-FIRE perhaps?


Druid - Life/Aether (something with lightning)

Where do you get a lightning connection from?

Growth, but only can target non-Druids for the +2|+2? Is that useful? Boosting attack of the generally weak vanilla Life creatures?  It also matches what I'm reading on the Wiki about Druids in D&D...Ok then

animal companion: <insert text about auto-summoning one of a few life creatures of similar 'level'...

animal companions weren't introduced until 3rd edition, though who cares, who could use something like it anyway



Bard - Entropy

an influencer for sure. a creature with the power to increase attack of other creatures. i have 2 ideas for this one:

-target a creature. all creatures of the same element gain +1|+0

-all creatures around bard gain +1|+1 (around refers to the squares surrounding it) Feels much too weak, compared to SoPa for example, especially since it's hard enough already to get it to affect 2 other creatures AND have a meaningful impact on the combat. each creature surrounding bard attacks twice? wouldnt stack ofc but...


I'll comment on this later.

steal is obvious. maybe too obvious - maybe a "modified" Steal ability... :ability-cost ability-name Steal target permanent. At end of turn, 50% chance permanent is destroyed and you gain :darkness equal to permanent's casting cost. ??


Too obvious indeed. (Note that Mana Larva in the armory steals quanta directly)

Stealing from deck has been done (Yoink). Stealing from opponent's hand has been done (Thieving Magpie, forge or forge archive)


Something that hasn't been done yet - to my knowledge - is stealing passive abilities, like Airborne or Voodoo



Ranged passive might be fitting for Ranger and Wizard (the one from Bow and Owl's Eye weapons).

td - I can do this for you I think, if you let me know enough ahead of time.  Or at least help you a lot with it.  I'll do other stuff first this Round though to give you time to decide. :-) so we know in case something happens and you cant do it, what would be good software to download for something like this?  For Round 1, I used PaintdotNET program.  However, for Round 2 and this current round I used/plan-to-use GIMP (GIMP is very good). for videos? OOPS! Correction for my statement: I plan to use XSplit.  After setting out what sections and in what order, I am going to start recording my screen as I navigate through forums sections. Afterwards, I'll use Windows Movie Maker (probably) to add in captions and more info to explain what is going on in the video...

"Dominating with Death" or "Dominated by Death" or "Dominant Deaths"

- KILL (or cause the death of) the most creatures in an Elements duel

- Teams of two randomly assigned from pool of sign-ups.

  * I like events done like this as it promotes relationships to develop

    among the community!

- Each round has the organizers post card combo's, element groups, or

  skeleton deck builds (i.e. skeleton card-count less than minimum deck

  size)

  along with any special round rules.  *Note: Must be available in trainer.

  Also, should specifiy upgraded/non-upgraded etc.*

- Competitors build a deck from the above and use it in the trainer recording

  the match as proof.

- Each Round concludes at a specified time at which entrant's submissions

  are reviewed and the lowest X OR highest Y (or a combination as set out

  before Round by CO) are eliminated OR advanced.

 

  While it's a neat idea, I already figured out a way to kill infinitely many creatures (in an infinitely long match), so it's not the most conclusive of testing options.

  (Basic idea is Flooding + Mitosis + Something to Keep the players alive. Heck, you can ditch the flooding if you go mitospark (Though that makes the keeping the players alive part harder, if you do mitodeathstalkers you wouldn't need any shields at all) - you don't think the opposing deck the Organizers give in a round would have CC or a way to prevent such abuse?  hmmmm... Also, capable organizer's would not be posting such card lists to allow usage like you suggest.

Note that "NO card art allowed" (same as last round).  :-P  A good place to start may be the couple of CIA threads about "new mechanics" and such and pick out some that had discussion about "it goes in X elements!" - "No, it must be Y element" - etc. ?



The "exhume" ability is this:


The reincarnate ability does the following: When the creature dies, it turns into a burrowed skeleton (with 0 attack), with the skill  Exhume: Replace the creature with the original version of the creature that died. The reincarnate passive does carry over between reincarnation.


While this is a mechanic that makes way more sense as a :life card (and it mimics a :fire card), we instead flavored it as a :death card with an :earth ability cost.


It is more cumbersome than quint, but opens up different possibilities (fire shield, armagio).

Because really, our teamname sounds a lot like "Valar Morghulis", which is assosiatid with the Faceless Men (and usually translated as "All men must die". And killing as a religion is way cooler than dying in the name of religion :)

We drink the blood of the dead and decaying, and feast on the flesh of animals.

Btw I watched GoT but didn't see the new season so far. It's nout out in Germany^^

I had an idea about worshipping in which Death conquered its foes (would be a multi-part story)

 - The forms of each of our profile pics (listed at the top of te board) would be the key elements in the Tales of Death (some holy book-type/thing (the scorpions could all be in one tale, for example)

 So, building off that idea:

- I don't have a name yet, but that can be thought of later

- Reason for religion: People noticed somehow that death conquered things beyond their comprehension, in 7 different forms:

  - The three scorpions were all in one tale, the rest each had their own

- What/who do followers worship? Death

- There are 5 major holidays

  - One day for the three scorpions, and one for each of the rest

- Since the followers laud Death, any religious 'bible'-type book should be called the Book of Holy Death :P

Dry Bones|Dry Bones

element: death

ability:

-scavenge as a passive maybe? while having another as an active

-1 life, when killed, turns into a pile of bones. these bones turn into the Dry Bones creature again with +1 attack. with scavenge as well.

This was my first thought when I read the task.

Passive Ability: HP of Dry Bone grows +3|+4 when a creature dies. (similar to Bonewall maybe)

Should working with catapult.

Active Ability: throw bone (gravity or air cost maybe): get a 75% chance to crit. 4|7 and 6|8.

Cost: 5 death.


Boo|King Boo

ability:

-i remember doing something with a spirit thing a while ago. it has a 30% chance of attacking a random enemy creature each turn. maybe could work here? what about it attacks so long as the opponent's "equivalent" creature slot is un-occupied (i.e. - Mario is not lookinig in Boo's direction)? could work, gives synergy in death with trying to give death effects to the enemy spot.

Not bad, though I'm kinda missing the creatures: they do make up a big part of EtG after all.

- Perhaps a vampire (I like that card art) in place of the quanta pool portion??

Vampire could work, or one of the dragons, or crusader. An eclipsed vampire would combine nicely with the 6 healing HP bar though :)

Oh, and that play now button is a neat touch :) I read online a few places about "good banner ad design" before starting so as to not totally bork-fail-on-my-face... :-P

    ^ It is other, thereby Nova-summonable... This means many buffs are easily applied (Momo, CP, Bless, etc) in upgraded so squishy can be easily "fixed" if the deck designer so wishes.

    ^ Oty is 3 HP / 5 HP which means ANY HP buff makes Mage un-devourable.

    ^ Keeping the ATK low means it forces their deck-inclusion to be more ability-desiring on the deckbuilders part rather than a beatstick.

* I _think_ slight buffs are in order - unupped -1 cost, upgraded +1 attack (with ability 4 ATK unup = 6 if crit hit; 5 ATK upped = 8 if crit hit... quite nice). Also, 6 and 5 cost are neither abuse-able via Fractal (RoL/Hope doesn't really have room to squeeze air generation in, right?  hopefully not)

Dash sounds a bit too, dunno, childish? Maybe 'Charge' instead?

Still feels week though. Make sure you're looking at the new versions I just put up Thats better, but still feels weak (and my above comment about the name still applies. I would either remove the ability cost completely (make it a free active, or a passive like sapphire's momentum), or remove the 50% change. The change alone is quite a good reason for me to never use it: it's frustrating to activate an ability like that and then have it do nothing. I see. Removing the %-chance means you really should just change the stats and give it momentum... only difference being buffs would worth 1.5*stated-value-of-buff if you cast it on Paladin.  Changing the ability to no-cost and named "Charge" is possibly good, though

NOTE: when Crusader was about to be implemented, some people made a bit of a fuss about a human character as an ingame card, since humanoids are playing the matches, not IN the matches. You might want to keep this in mind when flavoring the card ideas. Crusader itself was upgraded to a superhuman kind of thing to reduce the trouble.

I think we should really stick away from Snipe or other long range CC. Remember, a ranger can also be a tracker - I think we should go with this theme of it.

Tracking - target opponent creature gets -1|-1 for each successful Ranger attack. Lasts 1 turn. -?

":element Track: target a creature. If Ranger successfully attacks this turn, deal 2 damage to target."


So, this ^ + adrenaline = broken? depends on where we set Ranger ATK I guess (or change to 1 damage per?)I'd say change it to once per turn (per ranger) how about that wording? 0.o Seems fine.

Now, what element for Ranger and what element (if any) for cost of Tracking?Since the ability hinges on the attack value, the ability cost can be low (One is fine with me)


As for element, I'm not quite sure. I guess one that has a buff would be good, although I kind of want to put it in life in some way or another. Life has Adrenaline buff...I was thinking stat buff.

life: heal? 25% chance for Mitosis? (Not sure about balance with mitosis. More feedback needed)25% helps with balance, but would you use that ability? -Growth? 0.o (i.e. +2|+2)

I meant, is 25% mitosis an ability worth using? As for growth, I'm not entirely sure either.

The thing about sticks here is that you don't know what they'll have. Oh. I see... eternity + photon is much simpler with this.

Nevermind the slashthrough, Deja-vu is cheap enough. Yeah, some change is warranted. Precog could work. 50/50 Precog or Deja!? Either could work, but I don't know if we need the 50/50. (The 50/50 could work too, though) It's just that Precog is already on the Golden lady. Golden lady?Oh. Nymph. Duh. In that case, yeah, let's go for Deja-Vu



Hmm, that's is quite a neat idea, and it fits the versatility quite well. Though, making it fixed to mark AND making the mage lose 2 attack sounds too restricted. I would suggest allowing it to target any target on (your side of) the field, and taking the spell matching said cards mark (any random one in the case of an other card, though I would rule targetting the mark, if possible, works as if the mark is in element, instead of other). what about losing 1 attack? that would make it more balanced


All this sounds what (OldTrees) termed a 'kael card' - which means overcomplicated (which is somethin drake accused me of often in the past :( )

One thing per mark is a bunch to keep track of (also don't forget mark of chroma, which seems to be becoming a thing with 1.4) --How about just picking four of our "favorite" suggestions above?


However, if you two still want to do a 'different effect per element' I would change it to something more original than the current mark. One possible idea for that is for whatever creature's element surrounds the mage.


So - you make the spell be the element of the target - so if you target a Charger (any gravity creature) with mage, then GP happens. If you target a GotP (any time creature) with mage, it gets rewound. Drain Life on Voodoo, etc. The way this is better is, that you have in-element synergy and not just offensive power/CC.  So far, initial reaction is I LIKE IT :D


We should list some more of the good synergies for this


Cleric - Life/Light

Something about pacifism? and healing others? maybe: heal self for 5 life each turn this has 0 attack

How about heals adjacent damaged creature for up to X (3 or 4?) HP at end of turn.

I'll comment on this later - remember, clerics can be dark/evil too.

From Wiki on Cleric D&D class "With divinely-granted abilities over life or death, they are also able to repel or control undead creatures. Whether the cleric repels or controls undead is dependent on its alignment." -This seems an opportunity to give it options in the text based on owner's mark... we would have to group all Mark choices into the alignments, maybe simplified to Lawful, Neutral, and Chaotic (Good, Neutral, and Evil for Elements?) LIGHT-LIFE-AIR-WATER::EARTH-AETHER-GRAVITY-TIME::DEATH-DARKNESS-ENTROPY-FIRE perhaps?


Druid - Life/Aether (something with lightning)

Where do you get a lightning connection from?

Growth, but only can target non-Druids for the +2|+2? Is that useful? Boosting attack of the generally weak vanilla Life creatures?  It also matches what I'm reading on the Wiki about Druids in D&D...Ok then

animal companion: <insert text about auto-summoning one of a few life creatures of similar 'level'...

animal companions weren't introduced until 3rd edition, though who cares, who could use something like it anyway



Bard - Entropy

an influencer for sure. a creature with the power to increase attack of other creatures. i have 2 ideas for this one:

-target a creature. all creatures of the same element gain +1|+0

-all creatures around bard gain +1|+1 (around refers to the squares surrounding it) Feels much too weak, compared to SoPa for example, especially since it's hard enough already to get it to affect 2 other creatures AND have a meaningful impact on the combat. each creature surrounding bard attacks twice? wouldnt stack ofc but...


I'll comment on this later.

Too obvious indeed. (Note that Mana Larva in the armory steals quanta directly)

Stealing from deck has been done (Yoink). Stealing from opponent's hand has been done (Thieving Magpie, forge or forge archive)


Something that hasn't been done yet - to my knowledge - is stealing passive abilities, like Airborne or Voodoo



Ranged passive might be fitting for Ranger and Wizard (the one from Bow and Owl's Eye weapons).

td - I can do this for you I think, if you let me know enough ahead of time.  Or at least help you a lot with it.  I'll do other stuff first this Round though to give you time to decide. :-) so we know in case something happens and you cant do it, what would be good software to download for something like this?  For Round 1, I used PaintdotNET program.  However, for Round 2 and this current round I used/plan-to-use GIMP (GIMP is very good). for videos? OOPS! Correction for my statement: I plan to use XSplit.  After setting out what sections and in what order, I am going to start recording my screen as I navigate through forums sections. Afterwards, I'll use Windows Movie Maker (probably) to add in captions and more info to explain what is going on in the video...

"Dominating with Death" or "Dominated by Death" or "Dominant Deaths"

- KILL (or cause the death of) the most creatures in an Elements duel

- Teams of two randomly assigned from pool of sign-ups.

  * I like events done like this as it promotes relationships to develop

    among the community!

- Each round has the organizers post card combo's, element groups, or

  skeleton deck builds (i.e. skeleton card-count less than minimum deck

  size)

  along with any special round rules.  *Note: Must be available in trainer.

  Also, should specifiy upgraded/non-upgraded etc.*

- Competitors build a deck from the above and use it in the trainer recording

  the match as proof.

- Each Round concludes at a specified time at which entrant's submissions

  are reviewed and the lowest X OR highest Y (or a combination as set out

  before Round by CO) are eliminated OR advanced.

 

  While it's a neat idea, I already figured out a way to kill infinitely many creatures (in an infinitely long match), so it's not the most conclusive of testing options.

  (Basic idea is Flooding + Mitosis + Something to Keep the players alive. Heck, you can ditch the flooding if you go mitospark (Though that makes the keeping the players alive part harder, if you do mitodeathstalkers you wouldn't need any shields at all) - you don't think the opposing deck the Organizers give in a round would have CC or a way to prevent such abuse?  hmmmm... Also, capable organizer's would not be posting such card lists to allow usage like you suggest.

    Ability cost is zero.


Note that "NO card art allowed" (same as last round).  :-P  A good place to start may be the couple of CIA threads about "new mechanics" and such and pick out some that had discussion about "it goes in X elements!" - "No, it must be Y element" - etc. ?



The "exhume" ability is this:


The reincarnate ability does the following: When the creature dies, it turns into a burrowed skeleton (with 0 attack), with the skill  Exhume: Replace the creature with the original version of the creature that died. The reincarnate passive does carry over between reincarnation.


While this is a mechanic that makes way more sense as a :life card (and it mimics a :fire card), we instead flavored it as a :death card with an :earth ability cost.


It is more cumbersome than quint, but opens up different possibilities (fire shield, armagio).

Defining  "group" as "cards touching each other  vertically/horizontally/diagonally with pixel-overlap". The card's theme  is "Dominating the Herd" - if opposing creatures are scattered few  effects result but with opposing creatures packed together the effects  are maximized.  A neat counter to Fractal and Mitosis over-runs!

I can write 'something' without a problem, but it would be helpful if everyone would write out their own accomplishments or other awesome characteristics, since I don't know everyone that well.

I tell everyday in chat how awesome I am. I am simply OP :P My name in this team underlines the word "dominate" in our team name. I'm a PvP headhunter. Yeah, something like that will do nicely, thanks :)

I'm not much for bragging on myself, but how about this:  Master. of. Death.  That is all.  (It is my only forum icon too)

I'm a CO. :) Other acomplishments include: Deckbuilding for openETG, making various other decks, coming 2nd in a tourney. That enough?

Vevo i have nothing on. Timetock loves doge (if it isnt that obvious). He's a good bloke, unreliable at times due to inactivity. He has an arena thread so you could talk about that. Then theres his application thread. I say rant about something from that.

In the case of absent-OT'er (timetock last active Mar-4th on forums!), what can we have at-the-ready for this?

Something  along the lines of the 'religion' of the Faceless from Braavos from A Song of Ice and Fire (aka, Game of Thrones), maybe.

Well, then for the 3 people in the world who haven't read/watched it (apparently Odii is one of them):

Because really, our teamname sounds a lot like "Valar Morghulis", which is assosiatid with the Faceless Men (and usually translated as "All men must die". And killing as a religion is way cooler than dying in the name of religion :)

We drink the blood of the dead and decaying, and feast on the flesh of animals.

Btw I watched GoT but didn't see the new season so far. It's nout out in Germany^^

I had an idea about worshipping in which Death conquered its foes (would be a multi-part story)

 - The forms of each of our profile pics (listed at the top of te board) would be the key elements in the Tales of Death (some holy book-type/thing (the scorpions could all be in one tale, for example)

 So, building off that idea:

- I don't have a name yet, but that can be thought of later

- Reason for religion: People noticed somehow that death conquered things beyond their comprehension, in 7 different forms:

  - The three scorpions were all in one tale, the rest each had their own

- What/who do followers worship? Death

- There are 5 major holidays

  - One day for the three scorpions, and one for each of the rest

- Since the followers laud Death, any religious 'bible'-type book should be called the Book of Holy Death :P


Ok, considering it's supposed to be a religion, and religious stories are very good at being needlessly complicated, and high on moral lessons, lets see:  *Boss note: Team Name is the basis for this religion idea, not necessarily the Team members 'characters'...*

* rob77dp suggests:  how about using Poison, Arsenic (antrhopomorphized, of course - as we've already done in Round 1! :-)...), and Deathstalker to teach a lesson (using Fable form, either rhyming (verse) or free-flowing (prose)) about poison.  Similar to what we have (at least here in the States) for warnings to parents about the dangers of poisonous household products and small children.

- KILL (or cause the death of) the most creatures in an Elements duel
- Teams of two randomly assigned from pool of sign-ups.
  * I like events done like this as it promotes relationships to develop
    among the community!
- Each round has the organizers post card combo's, element groups, or
  skeleton deck builds (i.e. skeleton card-count less than minimum deck
  size)
  along with any special round rules.  *Note: Must be available in trainer.
  Also, should specifiy upgraded/non-upgraded etc.*
- Competitors build a deck from the above and use it in the trainer recording
  the match as proof.
- Each Round concludes at a specified time at which entrant's submissions
  are reviewed and the lowest X OR highest Y (or a combination as set out
  before Round by CO) are eliminated OR advanced.
 
  While it's a neat idea, I already figured out a way to kill infinitely many creatures (in an infinitely long match), so it's not the most conclusive of testing options.
  (Basic idea is Flooding + Mitosis + Something to Keep the players alive. Heck, you can ditch the flooding if you go mitospark (Though that makes the keeping the players alive part harder, if you do mitodeathstalkers you wouldn't need any shields at all) - you don't think the opposing deck the Organizers give in a round would have CC or a way to prevent such abuse?  hmmmm... Also, capable organizer's would not be posting such card lists to allow usage like you suggest.

    The 'parts' mentioned can be ability cost, attack, or hp. It can be raised or lowered (yes, this can kill). The target can be a permanent or creature.
    Ability cost is zero.
Note that "NO card art allowed" (same as last round).  :-P  A good place to start may be the couple of CIA threads about "new mechanics" and such and pick out some that had discussion about "it goes in X elements!" - "No, it must be Y element" - etc. ?
The "exhume" ability is this:
The reincarnate ability does the following: When the creature dies, it turns into a burrowed skeleton (with 0 attack), with the skill  Exhume: Replace the creature with the original version of the creature that died. The reincarnate passive does carry over between reincarnation.
While this is a mechanic that makes way more sense as a :life card (and it mimics a :fire card), we instead flavored it as a :death card with an :earth ability cost.
It is more cumbersome than quint, but opens up different possibilities (fire shield, armagio).

Defining  "group" as "cards touching each other  vertically/horizontally/diagonally with pixel-overlap". The card's theme  is "Dominating the Herd" - if opposing creatures are scattered few  effects result but with opposing creatures packed together the effects  are maximized.  A neat counter to Fractal and Mitosis over-runs!

Well, then for the 3 people in the world who haven't read/watched it (apparently Odii is one of them):

Because really, our teamname sounds a lot like "Valar Morghulis", which is assosiatid with the Faceless Men (and usually translated as "All men must die". And killing as a religion is way cooler than dying in the name of religion :)

Btw I watched GoT but didn't see the new season so far. It's nout out in Germany^^
I had an idea about worshipping in which Death conquered its foes (would be a multi-part story)
 - The forms of each of our profile pics (listed at the top of te board) would be the key elements in the Tales of Death (some holy book-type/thing (the scorpions could all be in one tale, for example)
 So, building off that idea:
- I don't have a name yet, but that can be thought of later
- Reason for religion: People noticed somehow that death conquered things beyond their comprehension, in 7 different forms:
  - The three scorpions were all in one tale, the rest each had their own
- What/who do followers worship? Death
- There are 5 major holidays
  - One day for the three scorpions, and one for each of the rest

Massive Peace
Combo Design a massive non-PVP event based around your team name.
"Dominating with Death" or "Dominated by Death"
- KILL (or cause the death of) the most creatures in an Elements duel
- Teams of two randomly assigned from pool of sign-ups.
  * I like events done like this as it promotes relationships to develop
    among the community!
- Each round has the organizers post card combo's, element groups, or
  skeleton deck builds (i.e. skeleton card-count less than minimum deck
  size)
  along with any special round rules.  *Note: Must be available in trainer.
  Also, should specifiy upgraded/non-upgraded etc.*
- Cometitors build a deck from the above and use it in the trainer recording
  the match as proof.
- Each Round concludes at a specified time at which entrant's submissions

I can write 'something' without a problem, but it would be helpful if everyone would write out their own accomplishments or other awesome characteristics, since I don't know everyone that well.
I tell everyday in chat how awesome I am. I am simply OP :P My name in this team underlines the word "dominate" in our team name. I'm a PvP headhunter. Yeah, something like that will do nicely, thanks :)
I'm not much for bragging on myself, but how about this:  Master. of. Death.  That is all.  (It is my only forum icon too)
I'm a CO. :) Other acomplishments include: Deckbuilding for openETG, making various other decks, coming 2nd in a tourney. That enough?

Vevo i have nothing on. Timetock loves doge (if it isnt that obvious). He's a good bloke, unreliable at times due to inactivity. He has an arena thread so you could talk about that. Then theres his application thread. I say rant about something from that.

Ok, just to point this out, Valar Morghulis and Valar Dohaeris aren't Latin, and we are missing Latin versions of commandments 1 and 2. Aside from that, I kind of like this Latin theme we got going :) I concur
But will you be judged in death somehow? (Memento Mori was what I was looking for, not Morituri te Salutant, though it kinda fits as well,for a 3rd option :) or we could re-word all three (carpe diem, morituri te salutant, and memento mori) here?
I like that, a list of commandments looks better when there is more than 3 ;) Though that does me 3 needs rewording, since it currently is a bit of an umbrella option for both carpe diem and memento mori.

In the case of absent-OT'er (timetock last active Mar-4th on forums!), what can we have at-the-ready for this?
Something  along the lines of the 'religion' of the Faceless from Braavos from A Song of Ice and Fire (aka, Game of Thrones), maybe.

Because really, our teamname sounds a lot like "Valar Morghulis", which is assosiatid with the Faceless Men (and usually translated as "All men must die". And killing as a religion is way cooler than dying in the name of religion :)

Btw I watched GoT but didn't see the new season so far. It's nout out in Germany^^
I had an idea about worshipping in which Death conquered its foes (would be a multi-part story)
 - The forms of each of our profile pics (listed at the top of te board) would be the key elements in the Tales of Death (some holy book-type/thing (the scorpions could all be in one tale, for example)
 So, building off that idea:
- I don't have a name yet, but that can be thought of later
- Reason for religion: People noticed somehow that death conquered things beyond their comprehension, in 7 different forms:
  - The three scorpions were all in one tale, the rest each had their own
- What/who do followers worship? Death
- There are 5 major holidays
  - One day for the three scorpions, and one for each of the rest
