I found having all the different type of submissions in the same thread with multiple polls a bit confusing (had to scroll up and down a few times to make sure I click the corresponding buttons). I would have preferred to have a separate thread for each task, i.e. 1 thread for all the Artist submissions with a single poll at the top of it, then another thread for all the Deckbuilders etc.

You did, however, base your reviews on how you made your card. Excluded were overall playability and whether the card needed a dedicated deck or could fit in with already-established deck(type)s.

Artist Task:

I'm not an expert here and will not try to hide that. I think I can agree with everything that vrt said, except that I also like the 'Wolf' art. So I had to decide between Wolf, Tornado, Living Weapon and Warthog.
While I really like the Wolf as a picture, I think it's less suited as an actual card art - there's so much going on, and no real center.
I love the Warthog, but it does somehow look like it simply misses something. This might have been my favourite art with a bit of additional work.
I will thus choose Living Weapon, as it is great, and Tornado, which is slightly boring in itself, but very well executed (which is better for a card art than the other way around).
Once again, only my personal opinion, I really don't know much about drawing.
Just wondering why you neglected to talk about Banshee. I understand you mainly agree with vrt, but he said it was "Very close".

Yeah, well, that was another part where I had a slightly different opinion then. Again, in contrast to most other tasks, this one was purely subjective for me. If I had to say something objective, I'd probably say that while it is well executed, it does feel a bit different from the style of most existing cards. But please don't nail me down on that one. :)

Reverse the causality. Like all card designers, I design cards based on how I would judge them.

However in this particular case, I did not find enough differences in other aspects to mention them. All were playable, relatively balanced (ignoring difficulty to counter) and benefited from a dedicated deck.

I would note that I am still waiting for the other card designers to post their reviews so I can learn from them.

I'd personally rather leave the critiquing for the Card Designs left to the Idea Gurus whether past or present.

I enjoyed many of the entries in every category and would prefer to keep my thoughts to myself for now.

Meh why not - A note: I'm terrible at judging from an impartial standpoint and being purely objective - get passionate about stuff easily. Instead I tend to go with what I feel.
Moving on from self-deprecation

The Inevitable: Well thought out but messy in play. Given the fact that everything is an action it could be very easy to make decks designed to spam actions - and there are no counters to these actions(as they them-self occur). Additionally the counter appears to decrease with opponent actions as well which is incredibly punishing considering they'll probably not focus on it immediately given that it takes time to take effect - a clever underlay. But I have to point out how vulnerable this is - sure that's important for balancing purposes - but it's too damn vulnerable. You can't protect it yourself and the opponent can destroy it quite easily. A small note - it does say targeted - so if say a mass PC card came out or something with a blanket effect - it wouldn't affect this card.

Conquest: Very interesting and unique concept - but overall too powerful. The fact is I would use this to block off my opponent more than I would use it for the win condition... And as Marsu pointed out - it would be very tough to counter. Set up a couple - dedicate some CC and you can destroy the opponent's creatures while preventing more from being played. Once again as prev stated by Marsu - you're in a bit of a grab bag as to whether or not the victory conditions can be met. Kills a stall; fails against anything immaterial.

Soul Eater: Weird concept - but nothing strikes me particularly - maybe that's why this card makes me uncomfortable... The effect seems a bit... clunky and judging its power is difficult. Also - the table seems to go against the description? Or am I reading it wrong?
Overall I don't even know how I feel about this card.

Pandemic Worm: Not a bad idea - unfortunately its uses are limited - you almost have to construct an OTK around it. Would be better if it had more useability. But unless someone can find some other viable strategies for its use... scope too limited.

Commune With Nature: I was so close to an idea just like this - I thank my own team for pushing me otherwise. A very neat idea but as Marsu and OT said - easy to abuse.

Glory of Atlantis: I can't thank my team enough for the input on this one. We had a list of ideas and I made sure it was something everyone could accept before submitting it. Only real issue was the odd wording - as was pointed out by Marsu.
The challenge of course was giving the opponent reasonable means of counter. Overall I think it turned out well and am happy with the result as well as the acceptance.

That helps with the submissions, but not with the polls.
