Although you'll have to be careful about it if it gets killed by other CC, since you'd have a malignant cell on your field.

I've been toying around the idea for a bit in regards to its passive skill, and this also happens to work:

"Toxic: Sludge gains +2|+0 per
poison counter on it. Sludge is
immune to poison damage.
  : Infect "

I'd have to remove the 'p' variable from the ATK stat value; this would make it so that Infect acts both like the Fire Spirit's Ablaze ability (but with MUCH more HP), as well as CC, but the cost would have to see a heavy increase. I wonder what OldTrees would have to say about this. ^^;

Possibly but I'm not sure; without infect, there's no real way of it being useful unless you included it IN a deck that had some form of reliable infection (mutationbows [bleh], Parasite combos, Toadfish combos (more bleh), or Grey Nymph w/Aflatoxin spam). I think at this point though, Death needs a VERY (or relatively) expensive creature that takes a lot of quanta in order to sustain itself and become powerful, rather than having cheap creatures and withering effects to always play the offensive.

I still don't get it. Why is it powerfull? All i see is that it's not vulnerable to poison (one of the CC alternatives) and it gains 1 att each turn. Nothing special. Please correct me if i am wrong and tell me some uses if this card.

I think the major use is that the Death element currently doesn't have that much reliable 'CC' in its arsenal. Aflatoxin, for example, is -VERY- expensive to apply to a single creature, and if that creature doesn't die via means of healing or Rewind removal (or worse - its Malignant Cell offspring gets killed immediately after), then Aflatoxin will feel like a fairly wasted investment. Skull Shield is chance based on the opponent's creatures - Plague is also pretty expensive for its cost, and Grey Nymph has scarcely been seen in any of the PvP events/Leagues or PvE decks.

This card can technically fill in that CC option while ALSO having the capability to benefit from its own CC (a 'pseudo-Ablaze' if you will), and with that, Death won't need to worry about having to splash an alternative element (such as Darkness for Parasites) to gain the poison-effect for creature control. Then again, its stats and cost are pretty lob-sided when you play it initially, so... I don't know. ^^;

I prefer my cards to seem -somewhat- less OP than perceived in case it does get looked at; for some reason, any card that I make can always be 'nerfed' more if it was implemented. ^^;
