Sadly, Phase Dragon is immaterial. Interesting concept. There have been people that wanted to give the dragons abilities as opposed to them just being large beating sticks... Well now you can :)

I'm just a bit worried with the balance of the dragon powers...

I will be looking into them a bit later.

Are they one off abilities? Because I think Dragons that can repeatedly boost themselves over and over are a bit OP'd. As is a poison that does triple any other poison creature's ability, and one which basically gives you infinite Firelances/Siphon Lifes.

That said, I like the idea of the card- it's like a Butterfly Effect but element based. I think the specifics of it need a little bit of work

The formating of your table and the thread topic isn't quite right- you'll need to get it straightened out before this goes to crucible.

My notes on the card:
It's an interesting idea, sort of like butterfly effect but it only works on huge creatures instead of only working on small guys. Dragons did tend to come off a little flat in this game.

A few things need adjusted though (in my opinion at least . . .)
2 or 3 random quanta is really cheap for what it does. Especially considering some of those abilities are just about game-breakingly powerful.

Many of the abilities in different elements don't balance with one another- while gravity force or triple infect are impressive, they aren't as devastating as most of the others (triple infect is still slower than a lance, and can't hurt the other player, and you usually don't need a great many gravity pulls)

I'm not sure the :time ability is possible to code the way you have it- I don't think the game keeps track of what the last card to be destroyed was.

Ok now I think the formatting is right.

Obviously this card is a concept idea because it is a little complicated to balance.
This card has some background. My first name for the card was Dragon Breath but we couldn't find all elemental breath ideas, by imagining the dragon doing its ability. We already thought of making the card that neither ability could target the player, but we leaved it as it is just to read what people think about it. For each element we had 1 or more effect ideas. Here they are:

:airShockwave, ligthningstorm
:darknessSiphon Life, steal creature for x turns,
:deathDeadly Infection, Necromancy (Revive target creature when it dies to your side)
:earthStrenghten, burrow target creature
:fireFire Lance
:gravityDestroy, Gravity Force, basilisk blood, protect artifact
:lifeImprove, Biogenesis
:lightBlessing
:timeDelay for 3 or 4 turns, rewind, Amend
:waterIce Lance
:entropyChaos Gene, Chaos Seed
:aetherlightning (only for the case in which Dragon Power could target immaterial creatures or immaterial could be worned off)
We didn't think about the cost much because this is a spell for big creatures, not like butterfly effect. Probably because this card's type is other the cost should be raised. The coding of this card is not something of another world. For Amend there could be a code that stores the order of the cards destroyed, something like a graveyard or discard pile like in other card games.

i'm ever think something like this (but with aether element cuz this thing can't use with aether dragon)   but i don't have a chance to do it.

i like your new skill for dragon  :life and  :time   other is not bad, but i'm don't think it be interest, the old skill that don't change anything is sound bored to me.   ^-^

by the way,  even if you think old skill will suit the dragon more than new thing.  why don't your air/fire dragon have drive/(can't remember that name but fire spectre skill). :P

Just cap all the lance damage at 12, and that should help with balance (and increase cost).


I'm making a series on Elemental Dragons  right now (powerful, ~30 quanta cost cards) and this certainly looks cool. Really seems like it needs a cost increase though.

I think the lance must not relate to quantum in possesion, that fire lance deal 3 damage at any situation.

Well my thought was to make it a permanent effect, like butterfly effect, but if balancing requires it to be 1 time only then let it be. This post is a vague idea of a card that could be molded in many ways. Don't think of it as an exact card that I would like it to be.

@ratcharmer - This card doesn't have to be balanced between dragons, but it should be balanced for the game.
