War #6 - Sportsmanship and Favorite Decks

War is drawing to a close, and although there are still three teams fighting it out, now is probably a good time to begin discussing your nominations for the Favorite Deck and Sportsmanship awards.

Before the yet-to-be-announced deadline, the General (or any of the other members in their stead if necessary) will need to send a PM to all three of the Warmasters with:
- a list of up to three players from outside your team who embodied sportsmanship throughout the Event.
- the deck code of the favorite deck used by your team during this War.

Sportsmanship votes from each team will be aggregated and the player deemed most worthy by all War participants will receive a forum award icon ().

The favorite deck of each team will be preserved in the Community Recommended Decks section. Once every team has submitted a favorite deck, the community as a whole will be given the opportunity to vote for the most exquisite deck in all of War 6.

Again, you must submit players from outside your team and decks from within your team. We'll put up a deadline timer when the Event is complete but there's no reason you can't submit now. It's not a problem if your team changes its mind and wants to resubmit; we'll take the most up-to-date PM from each General we have.

I'd nominate Kuro for sportsman.  He played it out vs AI in a close game here after I'd already restarted and told him not to.  He lost and gave me the win.

As for most exquisite deck, I'd be in favor of 2 Nymphs.

I rather enjoyed playing against Rob77dp. He was quite respectful, and graceful in defeat. Overall I find him a sportsmanlike fellow, so I'd like to at least throw his name out there for consideration.

I faced 2 rounds in a row ITR and both was hard countered and took the defeat very gentlemanly, he is the only one that Stood out vs me

If you recall we were about to close vault with something like 30ish cards remaining. Ghostmair was favorite to join as last deck and a few utility cards. Ghostmair bombed in testing and I took a look at our vault. Complained a bit about very few flies, dragons and SW. Moaned about no defl and wings and I dont recall what was the team opinon on that issue. Went on and built this deck just to squeeze in vault stuff, that I thought were going to be usefull. Nymphs were added cause of a note in the nymphs available post and cause they fit the mark. Never thought this deck could be used as is, just wanted to have defl badly, some more drags/SW and wings of course. In the initial gdoc testing this was not even included as a deck.

Somehow kev accepted it "bypassing" the deck voting we had set up, not sure if it was due to deadline closing in. In the first few rounds I did not think of the deck as highly and I dont think we considered it before jen was facing earth. Jen modded it for earth/immortal and gave some crazy fast testing results, that atm I thought were somehow wrong. The rest is just modds of the stuff around 2 nymphs....atm R12 I think its score is 8-1

PS: just had a look through deck suggestions and jen had something very similar built with 4 nymphs since day 1. Maybe my perception is destorted but I think makes for a good story
PS2: maybe we can build such a story for the deck we submit to make it more juicy

Well I've got no idea for sportsmanship.

As to my favourite deck I've got a few options:

1) 2 Nymphs is awesome - in part because the story is we just tossed it into the vault on a whim and on Mall's brainstorm.
2) Speed Damstal is one of my favourite decks for sure - I've been sad ever since we had to discard it.
3) Light Stall I'd consider this simply because it forced teams to consider it every round when deck building against us.

If I had to choose one of them as "my" favourite it would be Speed Damstal.

I'd say 2 nymphs was our top deck.
