Another nerf for aether.

Well, then its equally a nerf for fire, water, light, and darkness too. Firebolt, icebolt, holy light, and drain life could all target creatures and the player. I consider this leveling the playing field for Shockwave.

Firebolt, icebolt and drain life can all do massively more damage than either of lightning or shockwave, so not the greatest comparison.  I was merely pointing out the fact that of all the recent buffs or nerfs, none have fallen in favor of aether.  The added flexibility of shockwave (target player/creature, instakill frozen creatures, destroy weapons) is a bit more than "leveling the playing field" in my opinion, but there's no reason you have to agree with me.

The spell card that needs a buff isn't shockwave, it's thunderstorm.  I proposed a replacement for it called Twister|Tornado (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,2901.0.html) a long time ago (before shockwave came out) but the game went down a different path instead.  So now we have the newer damage spell card getting a further buff, while the ugly stepchild thunderstorm cries itself to sleep in the basement out of neglect.

On sidenote: Should Freeze|Congeal & Arctic Squid|Arctic Octopus also get buff, so those could freeze players directly, without the need of using Voodoo Doll?

Hell no. Weapons are gonna become so much weaker after that...

Because everybody sees how Freeze/Squid dominate PVP1 and PVP2.

Freeze/Squid has its use. Unlike Ice Bolt, they never had a direct copy which was strictly superior at damaging players. Ice Bolt only had a slight --difference-- when it came to targeting creatures, a chance to freeze, but you already had the card Freeze so why bother?

Now that Ice Bolt has a slight difference when it comes to targeting players it's more on par with its copy, Fire Bolt, which goes strictly for the kill.

I would not exactly say Freeze or Squid are useless though, especially in one of the strongest stall elements, Water.

This is great! It will help water+air duos so much. It was already a fun combo but the lack of pc hurt. Now it may be worthwhile.
