I came here to post this same exact thing. I tested Mindgate card yesterday and I think it could use a buff. Reducing the cost to 1 sounds good to me.

Then again there might be some awesome way of using the card that I haven't figured out yet.

During beta testing it was almost unanimous that a skill cost of only made it way too easy to spam Duality and copy your opponent's deck. This way it is still good but not degenerate.

During beta testing it was almost unanimous that a skill cost of only made it way too easy to spam Duality and copy your opponent's deck. This way it is still good but not degenerate.

I didn't test this card during beta but I am testing it now and it feels weak imo. I mean are there any good decks that use this card? And I'm not talking about average decks, I'm talking about good decks.

Even if it cost only 1 to draw that card, I don't see how it would make the card super powerful. You can only have 6 of these in your deck and it takes a long time to get all those on the table. But like I said, I haven't tested the other version so maybe I'm missing something.

2x Electrocuter

You can use it on FG's (assuming no perm control)
and it is the most fun deck i have played in a LONG time.

Thanks. That's almost identical to what I used at first.

I was looking for something a bit faster because I dislike all the "sit behind Dimensional Shield and stall" type of decks. My main objective was to build a shutdown deck using this but it didn't work all that well.

I think it'd be a lot more powerful card if it copied the top card in your opponents hand.  This would allow two things.

1)  Your opponent can counter it by emptying his hand.
2)  Amazing synergy with nightmare.

As it stands now, I completely understand the comparison with electrum hourglass and think the card is pretty underpowered.
