This event could stretch on for a pretty long time, so I would like to suggest having every match be 5 games, even if one or both of the players have fewer than 5 lives. The match would end either after 5 games or when one player loses all of their lives. Of course, this would mean players would have to be allowed to use the same mark multiple times in one match.
Somehow still around, somewhat

I'm thinking about joining but it'd be great if I could get answered some questions before:
  • How long do you plan a round to last on average? 3 days, 5 days, one week? (to estimate the length of the event and the amount of work I'll have to put into it)
  • Do we lose a "life" immediately? Let's say, if I lose my first out of five games in a duel while using a :fire mark, do I have access to :fire cards during the next game? (If no, I imagine that the amount of decks I have to prepare for a duel will be significantly higher.)
  • "No Other cards" means no QP/QT too?
The rule seems to imply "yes" but as it seems to be directed mostly against shards and Quantum Pillar is not considered an imbalanced card (look at the winning decks of last 12 Lives' final :P), I'd like to get a confirmation on that, too. (tl;dr: Will there be mostly rainbows or duos?)

No 'Other' cards, so no Quantum Pillars.

A round will last 4 days.

You would not be able to use fire cards. (You probably won't have to prepare as many decks as you think.)

....
After a duel and once per duel, you may exchange one Mark that you won a game with (in that duel) for a Mark that you've lost.
...

Question: Can i change a mark ill win with in round 2 with a mark ive lost in round 1?
(That (in that duel) seems to be for that winning mark, not that ive lost?!)

You can exchange a Mark you've won with (in round 2) for any mark you've lost (in any round).

You can trade for any mark you don't have in your possession.
