Worst experience i've had with a video game tournament in a while, taking a break from ETG for a bit. I'll keep the rest of my salt and frustrations at bay. GL with rest of tournament/future events.

Well, the result played out how my testing hinted it should in this type of Disquake-like matchup... However, Wings was the last/late-shield play instead of being early-game shield. AM did AM-things, OE did OE-things, and close-mid-game ended up coasting a bit once I could establish Wings-chain. YAY not having to face EQ rest of this match!

Well, entro-light stall I faced here was quite a bit different than what I tested against... but waves of Recluses kept flowing and a slight misplay, it seems, from Wyand ended it mid-game ensuring Rec-tal didn't take $#@! from nobody. ;-P

*sigh* Kind of forgot about SoSe... and got trucked in this matchup due to expecting Dims to hold up a stalling front while I amasses Dragon+PU's. *sigh* Nicely built and chosen here Wyand-- keeping yourself alive in the event!

Hoped for psions or unstable gas, but alas, Rob was smarter than that. The situation was exacerbated by rng. Had 3 Discords in the deck, found the 1st in turn 11. Chances for that to happen? Around 7-8%. With a Discord I would have needed some extra luck, because Rob played a stallish Air deck with Antimatters. OK, he was surprised when I played 3 Dragons in one turn, but they got eaten away/antimattered in a few rounds. It was a poor choice of deck I admit, but wasn't sure what to expect for the 1st game.

Can't tell how angry I was with myself in the last turns... I was so stupid! Rob played a Phase Reclusetal deck, and I was doing really well. Antimatter, Panda, Miracle... you know. I had 2 Miracles in hand, and in the nick of time I made a bad, bad, horrible decision.* Played a Sanctuary. Thus I haven't got enough quanta to play the Miracle in the following turns, and sadly, Rob played more Recluses, so... Damn! Livin' on the edge, I guess. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

It was really fun that Rob kept asking me how the hell did I play that Fog Shield. Finally, he realized SoSe is in the works. He protected himself from my Discord in a really tricky way, but alas, he had a similar experience with his PUs like I had with my Discords in the 1st game. He had an early PU, but then had to wait for turns for another to pop up. After PUing my dragon I just antimattered the poor creature, ensuring that everything goes according to my plan. Mission successful, Entropy Mark saved!
