What is really a pity about 12 Lives is that it gets interesting at a time when a player can get eliminated by a few games. Well, what I learnt from decktesting was that OTL's mark combination was definitely the better one. For the record, I don't hesitate to kill cats.

Correctly predicted Fractix and figured out this was one of my few chances against it. Mediocre starting hand with OTL topdecking a Fractal and using it on my Phoenix; let the race begin. I got only one Deflag, which I had to save for the very last turn. Barely managed to beat him, one can say that me winning the initial coin toss decided the game.

Switching out Deflags for Ragepots (why did I assume something creature-heavy?) last-minute was silly but luckily I didn't see any Fahrenheit (would have lost then probably). He dispatched my Phoenixes as soon as possible. A bad hand gave him second place in the race for quanta. Last turn: 4 Bolts, 65
, 79 HP left and a nymph in hand. That would have meant an exact win but a fifth topdecked bolt made things much less interesting. Credits to hainkarga, the core of this is essentially a copypasta of
his.
Very good games, OTL, you got unlucky twice, else this outcome would have been the opposite.
