War #7 - Round 1

A flash of wings. A mocking caw. Then silence. The Elemental usurpers are moving again, instigating revolution against Aether's all encompassing rule. The Elementals have long grown restless and seek to finally undo the essence of creation... Aether itself. As the 11 elements awaken, seeking power, old alliances finally begin to crack. New allies are found, and old friends can no longer be trusted. A new era begins... Event Card: Notes: Teams gain 1 or 2 Relics when a Soldier wins 3-1, or 3-0. 3-2 wins don't award Relics. Players have not been listed this round. This is a one-off because we only notified Generals rather late in the piece that we would need team rosters. Names will be substituted in at the end of deckbuilding, which is now the deadline for a roster thread in each secret section. Other Notes: None yet!

WAR #7 - ROUND 1 Read the War Rules Contact Warmasters News: War begins! Deckbuilding: Duel phase has started Teams have to build decks for all players who are fighting during this round. All team members participate in the planning. Please do not post your decks in public or talk about them in chat. All decks must be made ready before the timer goes to zero, after which, editing decks is strictly forbidden. Failure to have all of the decks ready will lead to a severe card penalty and/or automatic losses. It is highly recommended that all team members double-check their decks before the duels start. Duels: Fighting ends! Duel phase starts when deckbuilding ends. PM your opponent and try to find a time that suits you both. Time Zone Converter might be useful here. If you cannot find a time when you are both are online, please contact Warmasters--Helston, Wizardcat, and Belligerence--immediately. If the match does not happen, you both lose by default unless one of you is clearly more active and/or flexible. Duels are "best-of-five", you must use the deck and mark built during the previous phase, and you cannot make any changes to your deck or mark during the round. The round post previously had Lt. in some matchups. This was incorrect, as teams get to choose where their Lieutenant goes.

It would actually be nice to have the ability to choose which member to send against which element (and also the Lt role), so would it be possible to setup further rounds in a way that we get some time, e.g. 24hours after the round is posted to decide the role-roster ?

maybe he meant the fact the event card has  in it - and is called first strike like its directed at aether

That's fine, but look at the 2 generals fights against. Oh noes, they were the second and third ranking elements!
I agree though that gets some rough start as well. But they also got one deck more to choose from and presumably weaker generals
