When I already know the participants, answers play a smaller role. Still, you could potentially convince me if you suddenly showed some passion, vision, direction or certainty of beliefs. All of these are things I require of a Master, because they are given an enormous power in terms of building or rebuilding an elements' fanbase.
Where would Aether be without the War 3 team and the commitment that deuce gave to the element? I'll tell you: it would still be placing in the middle in Wars and its fanbase would have exactly zero active veterans and subsequently fewer new enthusiasts.
Where would Darkness be without finally getting a skilled General and a great team? Still placing in the middle and without any of the recent hype.
Where would Time be without 10 men? Still missing many of its strongest decks.
Where would Fire be without Root? Still without a top-tier Master and still struggling to stay in the top 3 as it should.
Where would Air be without the Jenkar/hain combo? Still placing in the middle and struggling to find its top-tier meta decks (though Afda would've found them by now; he's very good).
A Master has the greatest power to influence the game-tied community there is. They need a vision to be a true Master. Several Elements have yet to find their place in War, so their potential remains untapped, but to truly make your element ascend it also has to mean something to you so that you have ways to inspire others.
If these key elements are missing in a Trial, I vote none worthy. A Master is a Master, not an Intermediate.
