Dim Shield - OP in a limited meta like this, I think.
Bonewall - banning this one in element card makes Death stalls SO much tougher as it really hampers or kills Pandebonium, Bonebolt, and the Air/Death or Fire/Death stalls.
SoSa - PDials SoSa makes for SUCH long games...
EQ - PDials can be defeated simply with one or two early EQ's.  Also, nobody wants to see EQ (not so sure Shrink would have really fielded them anyways but I felt better not worrying about them while building decks).
Discord - I had a CP Discotek deck built prior to bans that was simply good and fun to use.  It was so good in testing I decided Disco had to go.  Shrink agreed, apparently.
SoG - So strong against Poison damage, which I planned to feature quite frequently in my decks as I was planning to ban Purify.
Purify - Duh.  Death gets a bit one-dimensional (mono-rush, really) with the threat of Purify on the table.  Now, not every deck has Purify opposing when it isn't banned, but as with EQ it is great peace-of-mind and helped with what I planned to feature... POISON.

PU-gons thrashed by Silence and SoBr + Explosion - not all that surprising.  I wondered if Shrink would think to being plenty PC in most even games (only ones I could use Dim Shield).  Shrink was smart enough indeed.

I would like to thank all Death Trials 7 participants for a VERY enjoyable time and experience.  The most fun actually playing PvP and deck-building I have had to-date in Elements!

thatnewguy - I feel I barely interacted with you, but want to thank you for participation.  Hope to see you for future Trials and events!

Fippe94 - Always a worthy adversary (these Trials, BL, tourneys?) and comrade (War 6).  I look forward to future encounters in BL and hope to see you in War 7!


Shrink - You are a class act around here and I enjoyed all our interactions.  Thanks one more time for accommodating my somewhat limited time-frames for Phase 4 battle!  Also, 5-1 does not truly reflect the matchups intensity and RNG blessed me a couple games early (in my estimation).  I look forward to seeing you in future events and around the forums/chat too!

Deep down, I was wishing the RNG had decided to be a miserable ass to rob after the Game Four win, so I threw a couple SoBras.
Turned out to be a mass-poison and spiders draw for him while I was left with just about the opposite. Painfully outrushed.

Honestly, I'm really just disappointed in myself for not pulling out the plagues in the last second. I knew deep down that dials was coming and packing six Miracles and a few more pends would have definitely pushed to my favor. Still though, where were you other two SoDs and Sancs.

A few last words:

I just wanted to express my gratitude for the support I received from many of the players. As this was my first, truly solo competitive PvP that
I was able to take part in, I feel like I've grown as a player and I may have possibly proved something to anyone who had doubted my ability
when I signed up for Trials (honestly, I am speaking more of myself than any others). I knew this was going to be an amazing opportunity to learn about the deeper aspects of the game. Having always avoided PvP in my time in Elements, I've noticed that I've missed out on the best part! How did I even make it to the Final Battle?!


Again, a congratulations to rob77dp. I expected nothing but a hard battle and I was content with it going either way. I did vote for you anyway

I did not record audio as I always play with sound off.  I could snag the background track to add over top of the video but the in-game 'sounds' are not recorded.  This is becoming a common complaint - I had no idea so many players were that invested in the game-sounds/music/noises! 

Next time I'll try to remember to get the sound/audio too.  Apologies to those this bothers.

The PDials with more upgrades has the advantage and based on the ban lists I felt quite certain PDials would be VERY strong in our battle.  Turns out I was right (some RNG help was good too).
