Finally got around to compile whether all players abide by the max 50% matches against the same player rule.

Atm malthussk (vs Vindi) and Monox D. I-Fly(vs artha) have one game too much for it, but both have below 10 total games. Should I exempt those games from the final evaluation as per the current rules (provided they dont play any more matches)?

I joined the forum community less than 2 months ago looking for some competitive pvp and league was just what i needed. It was great because the barrier to entry was so low, just have a forum account, and you could play a range of people at a time that suited you. I went into the league season with low expectations simply wanting to get better at competitive pvp and getting a feel for the community but by then end after noticing improvement in how i approached matches and how i played my competitive nature came out and i set myself a goal of getting back to the 1500 rating everyone starts with.

Thanks to everyone who made the time to play a match with me, especially when i was new.
Huge respect to phoenix1211 and Jen-i for not only accepting matches when they were first place in the standings but challenging me to matches too. Thats the competitive spirit i like to see.
To those people that lose interest in league after playing their 8 qualifying matches or having an unfortunate loss streak and think they no longer have a shot at a podium finish i present myself; started with very little pvp experience lost lots of matches and found myself 3rd from bottom in the rankings. I made the effort to play matches and improve myself. I finished in 4th place with 52 losses.

Looking at past leagues this league has had massive activity with over double the matches played than any league in the past 3 years (if my research is right) and i think the rewards while already generous could be increased to reflect this. Perhaps similar to tournaments increasing rewards for higher turnouts league can increase rewards for more activity, matches played/players qualified or both.

Will leave some feedback on WFR later either in another post here or in the WFR thread as i have proudly played at least 1 match in every current WFR since joining the league and quite a few old ones.

Well the poll was a failure. Would more people have voted if the forum didn't bork around the time the poll got in its end phase? Otherwise I cant really deduce much from this.

I feel like I needed to play two full seasons of League to come to a conclusion. With my current activity that could take two years. That being said I am a huge fan of wfr and like to roll and maybe re-roll them if one player does not like them. So thanks for putting in all the work. It is appreciated. At least in the four matches I played so far.

I'd like to see more people having a shot at the contribution prize. Say, give everyone a chance to win it and improve their odds for every match they complete. Maybe add a minimum of ~14 matches to be eligible.

We will wait 3 days until posting the next season. If you have any suggestions, please add them here before the end of 3 days. If not, league 2/2019 will be the same as 1/2019.

No one has made any suggestion so league will start.

We will be reworking the contribution prize for this season.
rework will looks as follows

If there is a tie for 3rd place between multiple people, the roll will only include the person with the highest elo out of those people. If the elo is tied, we will roll off names in an elimination style.

Examples
ChunkMunk66 has 40 games
ReliableCobra has 39 games
shankyoufoo has 38 games
BootyTickles08 has 38 games
GraveRobber09 has 38 games

the place for 3 in the 1d3 roll will go to the person with the highest elo between shankyoufoo, BootyTickles08 and GraveRobber09. If shankyoufoo and BootyTickles08 have the same elo and the same amount of games played, both of them will be assigned a 1 or 2 at random, then a 1d2 is rolled. If BootyTickels was assigned a 2 and a 2 is rolled, then he will be the one included in the 1d3 roll for contribution.

This will be added to the official rules once i can word it better. If there are any questions regarding this, please ask them here in this thread.

Yeah, I agree with Linkcat. Example.

Player IAmAProUrAllNoobs plays 85 matches (38% of the matches of the top3 85/(85+72+65)) ;

Player RelaxedVeteran plays 72 matches (32%);

Player FreshBlood plays 65 matches (29%).

1% seemingly lost because of rounding, so the LO rolls a 1d99.

1-38: IAmAProUrAllNoobs wins;
39-70: RelaxedVeteran wins;
71-99: FreshBlood wins.
