For those wondering, Higurashi is not only the name of our admin, but also a species of cicada.

The entire card is derived from the fact that cicadas only just live long enough to reproduce.

I feel that the best purpose for this card is in a mass death effect deck, where (unlike cats) you can milk out some serious damage while generating your deaths, at a (much) greater quanta cost. As a side effect of it's negative ability, it's also priced at a (maybe too) competitive cost, which means that rushes can probably get some utility out of it

2 :life|1 :life + 1 card or 3 :life|2 :life for "3|2 Infected".

3 :life is cheaper than 2 :life + 1 card. Especially since it is not once per turn.
However a "3|2 Infected" is not worth 2 :life+1card so the ability needs to be used to recoup the initial cost.

Why not limit it to once per turn and give it 3hp? You would have the following growth: 1|1+1|2+1+1|3+2+1|6+3+2|11+6+3|Full Field

Hand: 2xEmerald tower, 1xHigurashsi (unupped), 1xnova, 1xSoR, 2-3xrandom
This equals a five-card combo for 69 damage on your first turn. Any AoE would kill this, but not many AoE can be afforded on the first turn.

forgot to clarify that it's interactions with SoR would be the same as rustler's

I'm thinking about using OT's suggestions though, since I've been trying to balance it in my head in it's current form and it's not working. I'll update it in a bit

SoR + ability that can be used multiple times per turn = Free ability that can be used once per turn. (See Rustler.)
