I really like cards with random effects (probably that is why I like Entropy xD), and I sure like this card. What I don't like is, as Almir said, this kinda ruins the balance. There are already 3 bolts in the game. And the damage is really random. What if the bolt hits like.... 0,0,0,0,0 ?? Or it hits 5,5,5,5,5 ?? My point is that its too random and unbalanced. Also, since this is a bolt, why don't ypu make the cost for unupped 2 and for upped 1?
Other thing. Maybe adding some special bolt skill (as Ice Bolt / Lance might freeze the target, and Drain / Siphon Life heals you for the damage dealt) as Chaos Seed. If the bolt doesn't kill the creature, then Chaos Seed happens. That way, if it happens to deal 0 damage, at least it will hurt the creature. And if it kills the creature, no worries.
Now, back to the balance thing. In a fire stall, a bolt deals nearly 30 damage when used properly (and by this I mean when oppnent is low on HP, and you have around 100
quanta). With this card, an entropy stall would use discords amd some CC (AM, Chaos Seed, Mutation). Now, when you have enought quanta and bolts in your hand, and you use all bolts and you trick your self and the bolts deal no damage?? I don't know if you get my point, but its all about this card being sooooooooo random. Chaos Seed is random, Mutation is random, but at least you know what may happen.
My changes:
- Make the cost same as all other bolts;
- Add Chaos Seed effect;
- And about the random thing...make it that when it hits your opponent's HP it must deal 2,3,4 or 5 damage, and when it hits a creature, if the creature doesn't die, it is affected by Chaos Seed
And lol...we all chose to criticise this card for trials...except 7wavemaster.
