IDEA:
ratcharmer
NOTES:
Resetting a creature returns it to the "just played" state, as if it had been reverse timed and then played again.
This card is meant to be used primarily as a way to strip annoying debuffs off of creatures.
The creature targeted is returned to the way the orignal text of the card states.
Mutants become whatever creature they're based off of, creatures hatched from fate eggs remain as their current creature type.
Alternative uses could be preventing a creature from using it's skill (temporarily), countering growth creatures, or synergy with deja vu.
SERIES:

Here's my first card idea submission. It's based off of one of the ideas I listed here: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,8684.0.html

it got votes pretty quickly, so I decided to run with it.

The card cost and ability cost probably isn't balanced properly yet, but I'm trying not to worry about that to much, since ultimately even IF I win the lottery and one of my cards makes it into the game, then the ultimate decisions on things like quanta costs will be up to the game developers, and not me.

*update: I simplified the card text, since I think my overly wordy explanation was confusing a lot of people. None of the mechanics of the card have changed, just the way I explained them.

The only other thing I changed was I decreased the cost of both versions by 1 :time, since most people thought it was too expensive.

*another update: New art

Okay, so double post, and my apologies for that.

I'm not certain what the lack of response to this card means. If people don't like the idea feel free to let me know, I won't be offended, and I'll know not to use up forum space with more ideas like this one.

On the off chance that the purpose & use of the card aren't clear allow me to offer the following:

This card basically allows the user to "reset" creature cards in play, returning them to their original stats and removing any debuffs etc. Any effect that changes the card type of a creature (mutation or hatching a fate egg) would cause a creature to be treated as it's new creature type, since I don't think the game tracks what creature a card used to be. After being affected by the fountain, creature cards are treated as if they were just played, and can't use abilities that turn.

No.

Part of the effect of the fountain is to put the card back into play. Maybe my wording is confusing.

If it's OP I can nerf it by either making the ability more expensive or making it so each fountain has a limited number of uses.

It would then treat the card as if it had just been played, correct?  So, if I use this on an opponent's creature (say, an Oty that is threatening one of my important creatures), the opponent would have to wait a turn before using its ability?  This seems very good, but then again Time/Water isn't exactly a powerhouse and 7  :time to summon + 2 :water a turn is a hefty price for shutting down an opponent creature.

The more useful (and probably intended) use is to save your creatures that are poisoned/at low health (due to CC spells/Fire Buckler)/delayed/antimattered/any other debuffs.  I like the idea of being able to deal with debuffs, so I support you.

Its decent, if not a bit expensive. There are couple of cards with this effect in card ideas section (I think Glitch has creature with this ability).
Thumbs up.

Is this in response to dragonhuman or is it meant to be a standalone statement?

I think dragon was getting more at cards with a "when you play this card X happens" type ability than creatures that start with a status on them. If that's what dragon meant then there aren't any that I know of, although several have been proposed.

Oh, and it this version clearer?

I would explain what "reset" meant in the table.

CURATOR COMMENT

To get to the Crucible you have to:

- Fix the card image with the Water icons in the card text on the Card images.

Suggestions / Questions / Comments

Not a bad card. Hideously expensive tho. Probably bring both versions down by 2 in deploy cost. The ability to refresh a creature is also healing in the most part but has some interesting tactical functionality because a refreshed creature won't be able to use its ability on the next turn. Also refreshes DejaVu DejaVu
