First of all, great game corrum. I really enjoyed playing a deck I had not seen before (War Round 1) and experimenting with my counter for Round 3.
Match 1: Mediocre hand for me; corrum said he drew poorly. While I didn't have any Reverse Times at the start, he was slow on the Phoenixes and I neatly RT'd them as they came up. As his deck was dependent largely on the 7
that Immolation gave, and Phoenixes cost exactly that much, it basically stalled his deck until his mark could recharge it or he Immolated again, which boosted my Bone Walls. Basically, I was able to stop his advance, and his Fog Shield never went into play, so despite his CC chipping away at my weak creatures, my Arsenic and what creatures I had left (thanks Malduk!) I was able to score a good win.
Match 2: Match 2 was the exact opposite; corrum started with 2 Phoenixes, 2 Photons, and 2 Immolations I think, getting 2 Phoenixes out straight off of the bat. Since I didn't draw any RTs until the middle of the game, my Bonewalls eventually broke and the Sundials rendered useless. I couldn't mount any effective attack until late game, and while I whittled his health down to 50 or so, he was never in trouble.
Match 3: Match 3 was the exact oppposite of Match 2; I drew 3 RTs, some Sundials, Pillars, and an Arsenic. The first half of the match was me hamstringing corrum with the RTs and him Exploding my Arsenics. Considering that his old deck(s) carried two Explosions I think, I felt 3 Arsenics was safe to take; at any rate the last one stayed and his had little effect. I drew more Death Pillars and eventually creatures to keep putting the pressure on and his Purifies could stem the trickle but not remove the poison damage. His late Fog Shield was too late to be ineffective, and I won by a fair margin. On a slightly unrelated note, RT a Mummy that has had Basilisk's Blood used on it is still in stasis as a Pharaoh; had I known, I would've saved that last RT for his Phoenix. As it was, the strategy was dangerous and I effectively lost 2 damage a turn using it, as I never got any Scarabs out and the cost was a bit high for a mark to power.
Overall, good game. The only thing I really think that helped me was guessing what exactly you were going to play, and then practicing against it with Malduk. If we meet later on (and
is still in the match) we're gonna have a fun rematch.
