These were pretty quick.  I lost the coin toss both times but I was fast out the gate each time.
Code: [Select]
52q 595 5f6 5f6 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5fb 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 5ia 5ia 5l9 5l9 5l9 5l9 5l9 5l9 5lc 5lc 5og 5rk 61q

The first game I only had 1 phoenix in my opening hand but the second had had 2 pheonixes, 2 photons and 2 immolations.

Coin had gravity mark so my first thought was otyughs which would be able to eat my creatures, but I had plenty of control in my deck to counter them.  I was surprised by the gravity pull on one of my ashes that allowed him to kill it before I could regrow it.

I once again underthought my end of the match.  I was expecting either Mono-Fire or a small duo mixture, not a full on pillarless rainbow.  Neat strategy.  Him getting two Phoenixes out on the first turn was just overwhelming against my Oty/Vulture deck.  When I got the chance to eat his Phoenixes, I did, but corrum rarely gave me the chance.  A good pair of games.

well, looks like death didn't get that flawless victory they were hoping for this round. Maybe next round team death  :D

Kudos to  :fire for not underestimating Death and taking both Purify and Holy Light. I think this was the only deck that packed those against  :death:)

yes, I wanted to be prepared for anything that death might throw against me.  Also got some good advice from other members of team fire when building this deck.

Whoops, sorry, forgot to post my deck.  Once again, I was too focused on Fire's weak (HP wise) critters and not all the possibilities of Cremation.  Maybe a Black Hole or two would've shut this down.  Oh well, good game.

I am impressed as well. Now that's two teams who have packed purify. BUT i have noticed a lot of poison flying around in other decks but packing a purify on a non-death player would be really odd.
