I was looking at the name "Ferox" the other day, and I suddenly I started reading it as "Ferrous Oxide", and I thought -- that's what Life needs!  The old D&D Rust Monster!  So, presto.

Seeing as you can only use it when it comes into play (took me a second to find it, I actually like this one a lot, gives life some perm control it needs.

as for effective It might be OP as its two deflags in one + a decent creature

Does this work against immaterial weapons/shields since that is doesn't target them but target the slots? If so, this is OP.

No, this wouldn't work on immaterial Weapons/Shields.  And the art was claimed by some dude named nycnerd on his webpage as "free clipart".

Yeah, i had an early rust spell idea, but this beats it hands down!
Rust monster (from d&d) is not a bad name, i don't think it is copyrighted.
At least, to get rid of the 'elite' tag.

Good card. I really think every element should have power against permanents.  But I don't agree with getting stronger as destroying weapons/shields, I think it makes it too good to be in the game. I would prefer it getting weaker as destroying weapons/shields.
