If you haven't already, try playing an eternity based card denial deck. Imagine 6 of these cards in that. Opponent can do absolutely nothing for 12 turns. Nothing. ( Time denial generally has huge amounts of towers, a few eternitys, a few rewinds for the early creatures and about 4-5 hourglasses in a smallish deck. Dragons can be used in final turns for damage.)
This is a really cool card but I would just abuse the heck out of it.
Just wondering, would it cancel your own hourglasses as well?
To balance I'd say make it so that both players experience the effect. Maybe for the upgrade just keep the user on a single "lapse"
Actually, I've tweaked ScaredGirl's original rainbow deck (that I use to farm) to make a duo "Rainbow Creature Control/Rush {FFQ, Oty, Druid} - Denial {Eternity + Animate Weapon + Quint}", and I realize that this card is
terribly overpowering for
users.
My fault.
I'll make it so that it only lasts one turn; however, I will not let it affect the player quite yet (a player using
quanta would probably find it an even more detrimental spell to use as it would deny them Hourglass usage on their own part, which in turn, might as well be as useful as a Sundial without
quanta to back it up). Of course, since it's a
spell, I assume that a few shields could have it affect the player in question.
EDIT: The card again only lasts 1 turn (for both the non-upgraded and upgraded versions), and the cost goes from 7
to 6
.
