my win rate vs pure shrieker rushes is about 60-70 percent, with the losses coming when im not able to play enough creatures or when i cant get any control or shields out. My version of the deck:
Code: [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u5 713 745 77g 77g 7ae 7ah 7dm 7dq 7gm 7ju 7n0 7q3 7t9 7t9 80a 80a 80g
So you replaced the Dusk with Steal, and the HGs with Turtle (My fav shield) and Fog, which is a lot cheaper than Dusk and has 40% miss chance. Just another one of the endless revisions you can use with these decks, although I'd suggest replacing the explosion with Minor Phoenix/Spectre, since 3 perm control cards is a bit much, and hurts when they don't have any.

So Terro and I finally got to duke it out in some pvp last night.  We ended up both winning two matches.  I won my second match though only after slightly tweaking my deck.  Here is what I tweaked it to.

Code: [Select]
4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 5f2 5f2 61q 61q 6u1 6u1 713 74e 74e 77g 7ae 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dp 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 7jp 7jr 7t9 7t9
Yeah, I tweaked mine as well, subbing around some cards and removing my perm control.

I lost the first game due to a bit of a slow start with not enough novas, then when I got them I could either play Dusk Shield or not, I had enough damage to win in 2 attacks but he had enough to leave me at 4 after growing, so I played Dusk on the chance that he would draw Phoenix/Cremate for drag/Peggi. Lo and behold, he didn't play any creatures but did steal Dusk, and 4 creatures couldn't get 14 damage past it.

The other game I lost was due to only 1 nova as well as 1 tower until the round before I would have lost.

After playing his deck I came up with some very very general observations.

My Deck is Novas and Quick Hitters
Terro's Deck is SNs and BIG Hitters

My deck's use of novas instead of SNs meant that I could usually get out some descent damage quicker but if I had a bad draw or even just not enough quick hitters out early then his deck was going to win because his creatures were tougher and his towers gave him a descent supply of quantum to keep using his creatures abilities and gave him access to stronger creatures that my deck can't afford on its light quantum supply.

I really like both of our decks and still believe that somewhere in the middle of our decks is an even more powerful rainbow.  I would love to hear if anyone has tried tweaking either of our decks and what their results were.
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

Based on my experience with a rainbow-immolation golem deck,  I would say the immolation-based rush archetypes have a markedly faster goldfish (Do I need to explain this term?) than the supernova-based rush decks.  But I would imagine the supernova-based archetype finishes stronger if it gets disrupted by creature removal.

btw i'm tweaking my deck even more.  I love the addition of steels but now the deck is too dark heavy in quantum.  Adding some lava destroyers and taking out one werewolf.  Not sure what else but I'll post on my forum once I've made my changes.

Does this work unupped?

Hardly. Many of the upped cards lose much of their remarkable power when unupped (Crawler, the Recluses, the Frog, the Angel, and the Charger come to mind). Also, the cards cost more; although this many not seem like much, it's actually noticeably much slower. Additionally, you NEED Supernovas for this deck to work, and the difference between Quantum Pillars and Towers is large.

All in all, this is strictly an upped deck. You could probably make a decent mediocre unupped variant, but I'd stick with an unupped Shrieker or Life rush.

Thanks Icy, I kinda figured the supernovas were really needed.

I´ve made up a own version of this decktype too.

Code: [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6u1 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u5 713 713 745 74a 77g 77g 7ae 7ah 7dm 7dq 7gm 7ju 7mu 7q4 7t8 80a 80g

 :aether 5
 :air 4 + 2 per dive
 :darkness 5 (inkl. lycantropy)
 :death 6
 :earth 6
 :entropy 5
 :fire 6
 :gravity 6
 :life 5
 :light 6
 :time 3 (incl. unborrows)
 :water 4 + 1 each grow

this is how the modified (again) version of this looks like against a glory/miracle-deck :)

Made me lmao.

Haha, that was a biting farm deck mate :P Hourglasses, morning glories, and both shards. Not made for just farming but to be a bit annoying as well :P

Looks good, but isn't it better to switch hourglass for 2 precognition, or at least one? Proverb
- Knowing your opponent's hand is the best way to win a war (or something like that)

Take this literally for elements. Knowing what your opponent has in his/her her hand can mean a perfect calculation to a miscalculation.

If against rush-decks hourglass is better.

I've determined two hour glasses is too much.  If you take one out you really reduce the chances of getting a bad draw even more.  Replace with anything you want from another element (fog shield comes to mind).

hmm...i really haven't played much PvP at all, but I've almost saved up enough money to upgrade a whole separate deck besides my Puppychow variant and i'm thinking I want a Pvp deck. would this be the best option?
or I could buy an upped shrieker or life rush. or i could buy a rol/hope. dont know what to doooo! lol :P
