So happy to get this win.
Game 1 (WIN): I was equal parts elated and disappointed to see Aether mark - on one hand, Soras are pretty devastating against Dims, but on the other, Fractal can destroy BW. This game was pretty standard, we both got decent draws, although I never saw a Dial. My damage and Squids came faster early, so I was able to play a BW late to hold off a Fractal, and rode that to the win.
Game 2 (WIN): Similar to the first, but his hand seemed more subpar, and I actually drew Dials in my opening hand - two of them, in fact. I waited until he had me down to about 60 HP before I started chaining them, and drew my third Dial after drawing from the second. Those three turns gave me enough stall to hold off a massive onslaught of golems.
Game 3 (LOSS): We both had good draws here, but he dumped a ton of quanta on the first turn, and got a really quick Fractal because of it. I stalled as much as possible, but it simply didn't work here, as his quanta draw was so excellent. This is the only game I drew my Explosion, and as it wouldn't have helped anyways I saved it in case I could pull a surprise in the next game (or game after if it came to that).
Game 4 (WIN): He had a two pend draw, and I drew both upped pends, a couple other unupped quanta sources, and a Nova, so I had a second turn Squid and Arse, and BW soon after. Even though I had no Soras in my opening hand, I drew two quickly afterwards, and the poison piled on far too quickly for his subpar draw, which also included not playing a Fractal until I had the game sealed anyways.
Great match Terro, all games were close, but a bit of counter and a bit of luck went a long way here. Best of luck in future rounds (except against us, of course).
p.s. hi rob :3
