Beat the Highscore! #2In this challenge, challengers effectively don't compare their skills with me, but with the other challengers.
Beat the Highscore! #2 features the following prize pool:
First place: 6000 Electrum
Second place: 4000 Electrum
Third place: 2000 Electrum
In addition, every challenger who manages to beat all 10 decks wins an additional Electrum code regardless of his ranking.
Who will be able to follow in
Kakerlakes footsteps, winner of BtH! #1?
4000 Electrum for the prize pool were by the way generously donated by
Jen-i.
How does this work?I created 10 decks, each around a certain theme. These decks are hopefully quite creative and should be great fun to play against.
Challengers pick one of those decks and play BO3 against it. If they win, they get to pick a second one, until they finally lose or actually manage to win against all 10.
There will be a "hall of fame" announcing the best challengers.
What is special about this challenge? Each deck has a theme. Challengers will be able to see each decks name - which gives strong hints about the decks theme and thus the cards used. Challengers are allowed to create a deck that counters the cards they think the deck will contain! Thus this challenge is
a) an interpretative one - what cards could that name stand for?
b) a deckbuilding one - how can those cards be countered?
c) a PvP challenge - obviously.
Isn't it boring if quite a lot of challengers will be able to beat all 10 decks?Yes. This is why there's an additional rule. Each game after the first one, 2 or 4 (see below) more cards of the challenged decks will be upgraded. The challenger isn't allowed to play a single upgraded card.
How strong will those decks be?In their fully unupgraded form, the decks will be on about AI3 level, or slightly above.
More rules:-Upgraded cards are banned (for challengers).
-Shards, Nymphs and Marks are allowed.
-The first deck the challenger faces is fully unupgraded.
-If a challenger wins 2-0, the next deck he faces will have 2 upgraded cards more than the previous one.
-If a challenger wins 2-1, the next deck he faces will have 4 upgraded cards more than the previous one.
-Of course, not all matches have to be played on one day.
-You can NOT change your deck in a BO3, only before facing the next (different) deck.
Now, good luck and much fun to all challengers!
Here are the decks you may challenge one by one in any order in alphabetic order:

Additional notes to help challengers:-Check out
the decks from BtH #1 to make sure other challengers don't have an informational advantage over you.
-Only playing one BO3 and then pausing for hours or even days is perfectly fine.
-Building creative decks is this challenges hosts task. Please don't hesitate to use the lamest decks you can come up with.
-The average amount of beaten decks in BtH! #1 was 2.95.
