[Demagog]

I think it'd be neat if everyone were to create a card based on their screen name. So I'm starting it off (I doubt anyone will follow suit :-p ).

Name: Demagog
Type: Creature
Element: No idea... doesn't really fit into any of the elements
Cost: 5
Attack/health: 1/4
Ability: costs 1 quantum, name could be "speech" or "preach" or "propaganda" or "convert" I couldn't care less... anyway what it does is this: Target creature takes one damage. If target creature is killed by this effect, it appears on your side.

When it appears on your side of the field, it's at its regular attack/health.

The upgraded version, "Demagogue," is pretty much the same, just has one extra attack.

It's a decent card in my opinion, basically a weak version of TU, but it can kill (slowly). If you get two or three of these on your side, you can slowly convert all target-able creatures your opponent controls. It's easily killed though since it has only four health.

Suggestions are welcome, especially if they regard which element this should fall under and what the ability name should be, and if you want to suggest different names for the creatures, that's fine too :-p

I think we should have a competition to see who can come up with the best card idea with the rule that it has to be based on your name.

Make it 4 damage for it's ability, Icy, and I'd say it would be balanced. Basically snipe but for frozen targets.

No, it has to do an epic amount of damage. That's the only way to make it unfairly powerful.

I guess you're right. But that would make it very situational. 5 or 6 damage seems right. Very strong, but still quite situational.

Well it's not very situational actually, since so many cards in water cause freeze/congeal. Permafrost, freeze/congeal, ice bolt, squid, and then your upped one freezes too. So four or five damage max. Anything above that is just too OP.

Fine. Five. Makes for a nice Water mono.

I realize that lots of cards use it, but I mean that it's situational in that it only works at its full potential in Mono decks. In duo decks, I don't think it would work half as well.

No it probably wouldn't work as well, but the same is true with several other weapons when you use a duo or trio deck (eternity, EE, lobotomizer, and to some extent pulverizer and trident).
