New deck in platinum rank 102?

I just put a new deck in platinum and it was ranked 102.  And apparently, there are new decks ranked 90-something.  Aren't new decks supposed to enter around 250, and rating changes dynamically adjust to make that so?  I can't remember where my last new deck was placed, but I'm certain that I've never had a deck entering at such a high rank.

Platinum League appears to be having its ass get kicked. The bottom ratings of the Top 500 have been dropping for a while and there're a decent amount of 0-5s on the last page, too. Suspicious.

Yeah the low ratings in Plat right now are a bit suspicious to me.  But I've had newly submitted decks enter at nearly rank 200, so it would seem possible that this would occur.  Conducting simple math on the decks in Plat right now signals that there isn't an issue involving losing too much rating for a loss.

I don't remember it being like that when I submitted my current deck about 3 days ago.  I do know that I was rather surprised when my deck made the top 25 after only 2 days, since it wasn't very good (not sure what it's at now, since I'm at work and can't check) so maybe there are just more crappy platinum decks in the arena than usual.

What is the platinum reward at for winning a game?  If that's dropped significantly (I think it was in the 240-260 range last night) then platinum arena is indeed getting a buttkicking.  Perhaps some large group of people (like Kong) found a good arena farmer and has shared it amongst themselves.  Has anyone noticed more farms than usual in the arena; perhaps a bloc of players decided to get together and throw farms up.  I don't really think it would be either one of those possibilities; it's probably just a statistical anomaly.

Wow, just got home and looked, and there are 0 day old decks in the top 50.  The deck I had at 32-2 is now 33-6, so it has taken a pounding lately, though whether this is coincidence or the result of some uber farm deck, I have no idea.  There might be some real killer SoSa-based farmers out there that people have started using, but I've purposely tried to avoid using that card because it's broken to the point of being unfun.  Something's definitely changed, though, but whether it's a whole crapload of farms or some epic new farmer, or maybe a change in the arena formulae, I have no idea, but this really looks like more than an RNG statistical anomaly.

The score gains in plat seem to have gone haywire. There are decks with 1-0 and 38 rating. It's slowly easing back, though, and if there were some epic new farmer I think it would be affecting gold as well, and it doesn't seem to be. (New decks in gold are 237-277)

There are always random changes, but this is a bit extreme. I'd say just wait a couple of days and the Arena'll probably readjust itself.

Currently, #439 through #480 have exactly -200 rating. There are users 0-5, 2-6 and 4-6, all with -200 points. This means that a loss = -40, a win = 10, and a thumbed up win = 20. Well, at least for a long time. These numbers are clearly changing now, since my 1-0 deck with one thumb up is at 34 points. Meh, weird.

Wow, it only keeps on getting worse.

Starting decks: 116-128
0-5 decks: 419-455
Lowest ranked deck: -207 score

There are ranked decks now that are over a month old (Jenkar seems to have gotten a bit lazy)

Observations:

I think there is somebody tempering with the battle system of plat, i.e. winning a lot constantly from the top decks. Note that nearly all decks with age >3 have more than 5 loses. Also, my Ghostmare deck was 22-1 18 hours ago, ranked at ~150. When I saw this post and I checked my arena deck, it was still 22-1 but at rank 20. In the last 6 hours my deck had 5 loses, bringing it to 22-6, rating 5 and rank 95. Therefore supporting my speculation.
