ART: Art from Elements the Game IDEA: Xenocidius NOTES: Prion's skill generates a Prion card in your opponent's hand. If your opponent's hand is full it replaces a random card in your opponent's hand. If your opponent is protected by Sanctuary, the Prion dies but the opponent's hand does not change. The upgrade's advantage might not seem immediately obvious. However, the advantage is that unless your opponent can generate quanta, Prion can clog up their hand. Good synergy with mitosis, bone wall, graveyard, and the ability to deny draws with mito unless they can produce death....diabolical.
I like the card, even though the upgraded one does clog hands I think they both may be a little UP.

I agree with this. The extra one attack isn't going to do much, and you're probably going to be using the card's effect in the next turn too.

I'll edit if I think of some way to balance this.

You two obviously did not read the notes.

That is, they can easily get rid of the unupped card, but the upped will likely clog their hand until they discard it (if they cannot generate quanta).

But, it would also clog their field if it didn't have a cost because they would be able to use its ability, seeing as the person wouldn't have quanta. I read the notes.

personally i dislike hand molestation, be it with nightmare or the original dune scorpion, it just feels cheap and unfun.

With the low cost, nightmare would be very efficient here. Any cards your opponent uses afterwards that doesn't kill Prion will be replaced.

Similar cases:
Virus - If virus can be brought out you can activate the skill.
Skeleton - practically the same without extra sacrifice effect.

So in my opinon, it is in-between in the UP catagory.

I did read the note but I missed the fact that the unupped one doesn't cost death quanta actually ><' So I didn't really understand.

For my part I said that the unupped one is better because it can clog your opponent field with 0attack creature while the other one is more similar to aflatoxin because need a shield if your opponent have a way to produce death quanta.

For me it's still UP because wayyyyyy too long to be effective
