But I've always wanted to show the other side of fire. Fire as a healer, as a purifier. I've tossed around a hundred different ideas(you should see my card stores) but coudln't find something I liked. Then I thought of this. And frankly, I hate myself and feel like an idiot for not thinking of something this simple before. Fact is the game needs something to counter ailments. and thus I present. Counters: Poison Frozen Delay Aflatoxin Vampirism (Possibly)Reverse Mutation Theres a bit of discretion on what "negative status effects" are. Looking into that a bit more. I need help deciding if this should be a "Reset monster" card.(Removes beneficial effects as well.) SERIES:

Doesn't really fit the theme of fire as fire is about destruction and burning. Perhaps make it so that the purified creature takes one damage or something. After purifying it gains +1|-1. That could fit in the theme of glass cannons for .

If it fits Fire, please explain how. (Also explain why the fire doesn't burn)

I see fire as being characterized by Destruction. The current anti-CC that fire has (Phoenix) utilizes creative destruction. Purifying Flame does remove status effect but it does not do so in a destructive manner. Hence I feel the card fits a less destructive element.
Holy Purification or Purifying Water seem to fit the mechanic better.

Note:
Antimatter, Vampire and Mutation are not statuses.

Statuses:
Infection, Freeze, Delay, Alfatoxin, Gravity Pull, Immaterial, Momentum and Adrenaline

Fire represents the creativity and passion that all intellectual and emotional beings have. It is an active force that has the passion to create and animate things. The element is also very rational and quick to flare up as is the personality of many fire-children.

Point in case: fire both creates and destroys. Harms and heals. Scourages and purifys.

1) Element systems take everything that is and divides it among a finite number of elements. The smaller the number the broader the elements and vice versa. Classical fire was usually part of a 4 or 5 element division. EtG has 12 elements so some of the classical fire was divided out as parts of Light and Entropy.

2) "Harm and heal" does sound more like fire than the "just heal" card in the OP.

3) Classical Fire changes and destroys. I would not use the word create which was more in the domain of classical Earth.

Immaterial cannot be targeted. It was only listed for completeness.

I think both versions (removing all or removing only negative) would be valuable but not together. I lean in favor to the remove all option so it can be used as a debuff.

Perhaps the unupped removes all, the upped removes only the negative?

That would be a good idea pending more feedback in the crucible and beyond.

(I still feel the fire should burn or have the element changed)
