This card is nice, and the idea is cool.
But i don't like humorous cards if they really come into game.
So i think this card needs a new flavor to describe something that achieve the same effect, in a Elements-fastasy style!

It's a creature that dies to produce quanta. What creature sacrifices itself to produce something? Maybe some plants?

yep, definitely.  and considering none of my cards have made it into the game, even thinking about this card mechanic being put into the game isnt worth the effort, so it may as well be cute.

well, in one way its more flexible than immolation (can help other elements), but in another its less flexible (dedicated to one creature, rather than a spell being applicable to a phoenix or some free creature), id call it a wash and welcome creative applications of the card

I find it hard to believe 5->10 being balanced when not even Supernova doubles quanta produced and this card seems more akin to Immolation which only gains +2 quanta.

i dont look at the relation between the two cards to determine balance, usually one is just better than the other in some way.  nova/sn generate more net quanta, the immos generate more net quanta.  5-10 just happens to be the boost from the upgrade.  and it will probably be lowered to 4-8 if i ever redo the cards.

if you want, you can compare it to rustler, whos quanta generation doubles :p
