Cool idea. By protected, is this mass temporary Quintessence?
Huh, how much "protection counters" do your creatures get?? I mean, if I use RoF with this active, what happens?? -1 counter to foliage?? Then how many counters does this have?? Otherwise, how this works?? I don't get it completely...

This is a permanent which can be destroyed, exposing the creatures, or which will expire after 3 turns. In the case of Rain of Fire - that card specifies that it removes invisibility. I imagine it would destroy the Foliage, then do its damage to all creatures.
This has the same cost as Cloak but is weaker in every way. I'd suggest increasing the turns to 4 or decreasing the cost.
So how would this stack with Cloak? I imagine Cloak would override the effects of this.
