News War continues! Deckbuilding Phase      Battle phase has started! Teams have to build decks for all players who are fighting during this round. Decks are to be added to the Vault Google doc. Team Strategist works with the doc but all team members participate in the planning. Please do not post your decks in public or talk about them in chat. All decks must be made ready before the timer goes to zero, after which editing deck post is strictly forbidden. Failure to have all the decks ready will lead to a severe card penalty, and/or automatic losses. It is highly recommended that all team members double-check their decks before the duels start. Battle Phase      Round has ended Battle phase starts when Deckbuilding phase ends. PM your opponent and try to find a time that suits you both. Time Zone Converter (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html) might be useful here. If you cannot find a time when you are both are online, please contact Warmasters (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=2694,3167) kevkev60614 and/or ddevans96 immediately. If the match doesn't happen you both lose by default unless one of you is clearly more active and/or flexible. Duels are "best-of-five", you must use the deck and mark built during the previous phase, and you cannot make any changes to your deck or mark during the round. Please make sure you record your duels correctly as follows: (Aether) Lt. playername 3 - (Air) (Sub) Gen. playername 0 Event Card And the toll rises for each element.  Many of the eager reinforcements that arrived so recently leapt into battle and were immediately laid to waste. War rages around us.  Victory seems to rest on the edge of a thirteen-sided blade.  For the first time doubt can be seen in the eyes of our enemies.  Not to mention the eyes in the mirror.  And you know what they say about desperate times… There is one other way to gain advantage over the enemy, and that is to be willing to do that which they are not.  I don’t condone the use of subterfuge and deceit, but it’s important every General is aware that it’s there as an option.  I suppose in the end all is fair… Teams must secretly choose one of the following Event Cards for each player (i.e. several players could choose one card and others can choose the second) and PM their choices to Warmasters.  All choices will be made public when the Battle Phase begins. OPTION 1 OPTION 2 Discarding and salvaging for each matchup is determined by the Event Card selected by both the winner and the loser, as follows: Salvage Discard If both players fight with honor 6 24 If both players betray 0 30 If the honorable player wins 3 21 If the betrayer wins 9 27

Also, the idea for the event seems to be similar to the Prisoner's Dilemma Debate-turned-Forum Game by Xenocidius. Was that part of the inspiration?

This idea was suggested by kev. I think the inspiration came from this (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/board,401.0.html) but maybe I'm wrong. But the whole concept of Prisoner's Dilemma was of course not developed on these forums.

Hey, you ninja-edited that! There was something about stereotypical and . I knew I would get some angry feedback about that. The thing is that I was in a big rush and had to pick some elements, and and just seemed to fit the best. Call me prejudice, but I trust Angels more than Vampires.

Team Death is going to choose Betrayal for every single match.
There is absolutely nothing you can do to change our decision.
